Cup RACE thread --- Open and All-Star

Socials are melting down as we speak. Seems as if they’re not entertained.
 
I don’t know what these fans want. Passing is supposed to be hard. I don’t want every week to be Atlanta, Talladega or Daytona.

It’s been more competitive than last year, but whether the new surface just rubbered in, the temps preserved the tires, or whatever, the wear isn’t what the drivers raved about on Friday evening. Still not a bad race IMO, but back to the drawing board I think.

I also don’t really get not mandating the use of both tires - kinda defeats the purpose of trying to create speed differentials.

The old races I watched of Wilkesboro on YouTube was just seemed hard to pass. And it didn’t help you only had like 7 or 8 drivers that could win races back then. Just my opinion but I thought tonight’s race was fun seemed passing all over on the radio feed
 
So we know the 22 is gonna win but they totally forget the 5 and 17? Busch league coverage
 
Jamie must have forgotten last year when Larson had a 15 second lead for most of the race
 
Also, significantly faster speeds = more aero. They’re ripping around this place now. Once you could get on a guy’s door you could hold it pretty well though. Just difficult to complete a full pass.

Geoff Bodine lapped the entire ****en field in 1994. I remember it well. First race I grew up watching where I remember being so bored I couldn’t watch anymore. But the Truck races were always good.

Granted the early days of the Craftsman Super Truck Series were the best days.
 
I hope NWB doesn’t get a points race until whatever it is needs to be figured out to make fans happy. It’ll break my heart when the turn on this place happens
