5 laps to go? Ain't nobody lifting.
When exactly?
These 20 car wrecks didn't start happening 3 years ago.
As long as they have bread, wine, and blood on the ground the idiot crowd will cheer. Long live Talladega.
I mean let's not fool ourselves. 90% of the folks at these races come to see cars get torn up. That's also why Daytona and Talladega constantly have the most viewers. As long as they have bread, wine, and blood on the ground the idiot crowd will cheer. Long live Talladega.

And yet the field has been driving around lap-down cars on the bottom lane all day. Why should Gilliland have done differently?I would argue that Gilliland should have moved to the apron to let the field go by. He disrupted the airflow and make things go squirrelly.
Been doing exactly that between saltwater rinses. YUCK!That’s the perfect excuse to eat ice cream and pudding!
Getting pushed. The 9 is just wedged on the apron and can't get anyone to just push him off
I've watched some plate races from the past and they weren't constantly in a 30+ car pack until they banned tandem drafting. We actually had caution free plate racing at one point. You would never see that today.
We had big ones in the past but it was at least possible to have a clean race.
His dry sarcasm has helped my mood during this on radio. He’s absolutely clowning the responders. The 9 is just wedged on the apron and can't get anyone to just push him off
I love how he was fully on the apron and they took him on an adventure thru the grass for 1/4 mile“These f***ers aren’t going to push me any more!” -Chase. He’s really even clowning the s*** show on the backstretch since the wreck. Clown college
Handling mattered back then. The cars didn’t have billboards for spoilers like they do now on the plate tracks. I remember a Busch race where Dale Jr drove away by himself at Daytona because he had a good handling car.I've watched some plate races from the past and they weren't constantly in a 30+ car pack until they banned tandem drafting.
2000s plate races raced more like modern day Indy racing.
When contact happens in front of the field everyone except the backmarkers who can't keep up with the pack are purely passengers who can't avoid the wreck unless they're lucky.
Did they quit pushing him? Edit: Yes, been hauled back.“These f***ers aren’t going to push me any more!” -Chase. He’s really even clowning the s*** show on the backstretch since the wreck. Clown college

... Nah, not going there. If I was vacationing in Alabama ...
PlAyOfFs!!!!! DrAmA and ExCiTeMeNt! Bonus points if I can show horn in “Game 7.”I love how he was fully on the apron and they took him on an adventure thru the grass for 1/4 mile
Exactly. There’s literally ZERO reason to EVER do that.... Nah, not going there.

I don’t think the carnage is over yet either
Selfishly hope not now. I’m going full Tony Stewart.I don’t think the carnage is over yet either
I don't think there's enough cars left to make trouble.I don’t think the carnage is over yet either
I don't think there's enough cars left to make trouble.
Yeah but Brad is one of of the cars that are leftI don't think there's enough cars left to make trouble.
Stenhouse is still viable and never underestimate the next gen car. This crop of drivers will find a way
