WNBA

In case no one has noticed, the NY liberty also finished the season with the best Conference winning percentage of >800 (32 W - 8 L.
They were a great team for sure. Best team all regular season, minus for a brief lull at the end when the top seed was effectively sewn up already.

Still extremely disappointing how they won it.

Just saw this salty video of The Call since I can't seem to find an official video of it, which is bizarre. If this was 15-20 years ago, I would probably have sounded exactly like this guy with the conspiracy insinuation. :XXROFL:

Looked like Stewie traveled to me, but man, these particular shooting/blocking foul calls are the definition of insanity and create debates/ambiguity by nature. The announcers always tell me what the rules are supposed to be, that the defender has to have their feet set with their arms straight up, and the offensive player can't initiate contact.

That's all well and good, but I've seen similar looking incidents get called both ways or not called at all. Just seems like it frequently comes down to a judgment call on the refs' part, like there's no clear line that is ever crossed and consistently gets enforced across the board. It's just however they feel like calling it at that moment. I hate that this foul call seems to be the main thing that folks are talking about, but with games and a series that were this close, it was pretty much inevitable.

Honestly, it's whatever. I ain't mad.

WOW, is White going to leave the Sun and join either the Fever or Sky as coach? She is considered one of the top coaches in the WNBA.

Yes, Coach White is definitely one of the best. I love her, obviously. She has a prior connection with both Chicago and Indiana. I think that given her defensive style, she's a better natural fit for Chicago, but that organization is just such a dumpster fire right now.

She may very well end up staying in Connecticut. To my knowledge, DeWanna Bonner is going to play again next season, which surely means that A.T. isn't going anywhere. That's their main two key pieces right there. I'll say this, though...if Coach White goes to Indiana, there's a good chance that I'll be following them next season.

Mike and Eric Thibault, the father and son Mystics' GM and coach, are both out. Okay then. Eric's a good coach, so that's a little surprising.

So, yeah, I have no idea who I'll be following next season. Definitely gonna have to see what these rosters are looking like by then.
