    One final thought about Bristol

If people put up with plate races I don't see any reason to complain about short tracks like "old" Bristol. I'd have to agree with @StandOnIt and say this race was one of the best I've seen in a while. However, I still think it lacks the traditional character that it once had. To me it would be...

So who gets the 77 ride?

Bell will be a bust, too many guys are already present that will overshadow him

    One final thought about Bristol

I hope when Bristol needs to be repaved again they go back to the old configuration.

So, how is talent measured in racing?

My point was that he'll always have a ride because of his TALENT. Barney Vissar doesn't own a top team now? If I recall correctly, Kurt didn't even have to drive the whole 2012 season for James Finch before Barney gave him a call and kicked Regan Smith to the curb. He turned that team around and...

So, how is talent measured in racing?

Kurt "lost" his ride due to pure unhappiness that trickled down from his personal life. He was extremely unhappy with his performance in 2011 and at the same time was dealing with a divorce. Those things mixed together will kill everyone. Could you remind me of what car he drives now and why?

So, how is talent measured in racing?

His talent will always be the one that "catches" him. At the end of the day it's about performance, if you're that good at what you do you'll always be around unless you cross some sort of social boundary. Acting like a brat when you don't win isn't controversial, it's just passion. Plenty of...

So, how is talent measured in racing?

Elliott? No way. Jones maybe, but would need way more time to adjust. Kyle would make me nervous driving an Indycar but I think he could do it.

So, how is talent measured in racing?

I think it's mostly about winning, car control, and overall ability. You put him in any kind of car and he'll drive at 110% like his brother. There's no doubt he has the most raw talent out of any driver right now, but Tony Stewart is still at the top of my list for all time (at least for now).

Reminder - Trucks at Bristol tonight

I think a reasonable solution would be for Nascar to take a peek at the weather forecast a week in advance and choose a day that's clear.. It wouldn't affect attendance because nobody seems to show up anyway!

    NASCAR Considering Removal of Jackmen?

It's a well known fact that Toyota's come with better jacks and wrenches

    NASCAR Considering Removal of Jackmen?

...So I guess this means it'll be legal for Joey Logano to have his jack on the track now.

    Toyota teams sandbagging?

This was my interpretation as well. It's not necessarily that they're cheating, they just don't want NASCAR to see what they're doing to go faster. We all know that NASCAR isn't the most objective sanctioning body, so leaks happen quite often. They could be potentially "sandbagging" for this...

Kurt Busch out at SHR after 2017

Correct. Although I really do believe he's getting offers from elsewhere. I have a feeling Furniture Row inquired about Monster's status. If Kurt's a free agent and Monster agrees to come back and sponsor him, he could easily go to the #77 (or 97) and that car would be funded like Barney wants...
