    NASCAR's attendance in decline

The economy for sure is a major factor in lower attendance. However with respect to lower TV ratings, people simply aren't interested in the current NASCAR. Most people I know watched up until Earnhardt passed away, and preferred the good ol' boys, no race for the chase, and the cars before...

    Kenseth?

Why do I equate poor old Michael Waltrip to being one of the dumbest people in NASCAR? I know he operates a very successful company, but hell the guy reminds me of an idiot.

Mark Martin - if he had a full time ride, he would be in the chase

Why is Mark Martin not running full time in Cup? He is 23rd place with only running 12 out of 15 races. I am fairly certain this guy would be a chase contender if he was given a chance to run all 15 races. .

Helmet cam video of Kevin Harvick testing at VIR and how do they shift so fast?

When I went to Pocono last week, and especially during qualifying, I couldn't figure out how these guys shifted gears so fast. They went immediately from one gear into the next, almost as if they aren't using the clutch and a conventional stick shift. Can anyone explain? Also here is a...

Well I went to the race and really loved it. I have been to an F1 Race (Montreal), IRL (Toronto) and now NASCAR, and this was by far my favourite (although I normally only watch NASCAR on TV and not the other two). The sound of these machines are unreal. Overall it was an amazing experience...

first time at a nascar race - going to Pocono on Jun 10th

Furthermore, do I need to stay seated in the grandstands, or can I use my paddock pass during the race to stand around in the paddock? Also can I roam the infield and other areas of the track during the race?

first time at a nascar race - going to Pocono on Jun 10th

Also in terms of buying the paddock pass, I noticed general admission is required as well. Which day would be better to see the cars in the paddock - friday or saturday? I assume on friday there won't be much happening as compared to saturday with the ARCA race as well as the cup qualifiying?

first time at a nascar race - going to Pocono on Jun 10th

I have always wanted to go to a Nascar Cup race, never had the chance until now. I am looking at going to the Pocono 400 on June 10th. Is there any advice anyone can provide me with as a newbie? Any particular area of the track to sit at, and any to stay away from? Is there a specific type...
