Yeah that's about how much I know by looking at the Jayski practice speed charts.
Mears first?

Mears first? That gave me hope that Gordon is just playing possum. lol
Denny sure messed up that turn, but he did good on his single lap today.
She had better like it... it's the only one she has left unless they went back to the shop and fetched her another one.So Danica didn't run 10 consecutive practice laps???? She must be happy with her car?

Are you sure she was talking about her car?She sure asks for a lot on the radio, and it was confusing to me. She said she was tight, tight, tight, but she asked for more rear grip to keep the back from sliding out toward the wall on exit.
I guess I just don't understand this stuff.

From my email:
Bristol friends -
By now, I'm sure you've seen Sunday's weather forecast and likely have questions about our plans.
NASCAR has a nearly 70-year history of working with tracks to get races in on the scheduled date. Here at Bristol, we have a track that dries in less than an hour, equipment here to do it and lights that allow us to race well into the evening. We are very hopeful and fully intend to run the Food City 500 tomorrow . If, by chance, that does not happen, we are prepared to race Monday at noon. But that is a backup plan we hope to not need.
We appreciate your understanding and will keep you updated with any new information.
Sincerely,
Jerry Caldwell
Executive Vice President and General Manager
Bristol Motor Speedway
Let me translate:
Please come to the track and stand under the grandstand all day buying food and beer.. Don't sit in your camper and watch the weather on your smartphone.

What? Has NASCAR ever skipped a race?I still think they only have two days to get this race in. If they can't get it in by Mon night i think they will have to pack up and head to Fontana. But, i hope we don't get the chance to find out if i'm right.![]()
I believe I read the major Cup teams have two haulers with one going to every other race. Somebody else might know more.I still think they only have two days to get this race in. Nah, they'd probably delay it to one of the off weeks. The New Hampshire race after 9/11 was delayed until the end of the season. I doubt NASCAR would outright cancel a race like that, except in maybe in matters of safety (the CART race at Texas comes to mind, which wasn't NASCAR but still). What? Has NASCAR ever skipped a race?

Most teams do not have two complete race haulers, many have test haulers, or they use multi car haulers(Roush) and they swap out cars and equipment at the race track or at another location , and for the Texas , Phoenix part of the schedule , they have in the past swap out cars at the Texas before heading on to Phoenix.I believe I read the major Cup teams have two haulers with one going to every other race. The above image is an animated forecast map from 8 a.m. EST Sunday until midnight on Monday. Rain arrives between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. EST and continues through the morning and into the afternoon. Some of the forecast models I've looked at try to break some of the rain up as we go into late afternoon and evening. While some of the showers are possible to become more broken and scattered, I feel there is just too much moisture in place today to see any racing at Bristol, that includes racing at night.

Garage already open since teams had no chance to work on cars after practice b/c no garages here.

That was a weird weekend, eating Thanksgiving dinner at a race track and COLD. Even weirder was Robby Gordon winning.I believe I read the major Cup teams have two haulers with one going to every other race. Somebody else might know more.

Local weather saying the chance of rain down to 40% at 5pm, so at least there's a glimmer of hope.
