2014 Daytona - Coke Zero 400 - Pre Race Thread

I feel bad, but I giggled a bit when Kenny Wallace said that the big boys are starting to notice Landon Cassil. He's not doing that good...
 
I imagine Vickers was kicking the floor boards out of that #55
 
Ironic that Newman was one of the biggest complainers about cars running slow during qualifying
 
Brian has to be so proud of what he has produced with qualifying.
 
choo chooo. Don't think I have ever seen anything that can top this in a race car..seen then on fire, upside down, sideways.

Qualifying is pointless here. Just have a five lap race with all the go or go-homers, then start the rest of the field by point standings. No one cares where they start here.
 
I feel like an idiot for watching. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
 
Is #20 the only Toyota moving to the next round :eek: He's toast.
 
I'm sure it's been mentioned here before but I think that a couple of qualifying races may be the way to go.

Qualifying sucks. With the old format, it mattered if you had a good set-up and could run a good lap because it was based on an individual driver's effort. Now, it depends on whether you waited for the correct time to go and whether you're in the right spot, in line, to get a good pull. Total BS. You could have the best car and the best line and not make round two simply because the cars that you were relying on for pull, lifted or changed lines. Then you get screwed on pit selection, to boot.
Does Brian France even watch qualifying? Or, racing, for that matter?

New for this race, the Brian has proclaimed no pushing..Daytona without any pushing??..another brain storm by the upper ranks..had to be drunk or pilled up to come up with that. that's even more stupid than the qualifying. Now the goofs in the office are going to be penalizing the drivers and interfering with the freaking race.

I remember James Buescher and Nemechek got screwed by that in the spring Nationwide race.
