Just talked to my friend at the track --- she said they made an announcement about the weather and they advised everyone to get under cover. She's hanging out in the bathroom
right now --- lightning in the area. Said the track dryers were out, but have quit.

Daytona's aren't nearly as bad as the 2nd level at Talladega --- now those were nasty.

I like fresh air, real trees and grass, four seasons, a lake that doesn't smell like salt water, no neighbors except deer, rabbits, birds and squirrels, and to go places where I can understand what they are saying. Glad you like where you live, but believe me, you are not converting me with the constant Cali wank. been there done that.

Our four seasons are cool, warm, hot & hotter.
Cali has one thing I don't think I could ever get used to --- random violent shaking of the ground. LOL
Plus the fact that it's expensive to live out there and this old lady's retirement wouldn't go very far.

May end up starting at about 10 tonight just like it did in 2005, my dad and I sat in a down pour for the July race in Daytona waiting for the race to start. It finally finished at like 2am lol

Speaking of driving distance, the average gas price in California is 90 cents higher per gallon than what I pay here in Northwest Arkansas. IF there was a chance that I could afford rent in California, I'd be stuck at home all the time because I wouldn't be able to afford gas prices.
