Well, NASCAR's found out how to make Richmond a great race, run it in the daytime. Hopefully they get smart and do the same thing in the fall.

In this case, it wouldn't matter. NASCAR is still going to divide time by distance. The problem is the distance between the two scoring lines isn't the same from the inside wall to the outside.

This is the classic attendance vs. TV thing. Night races are horrible races, but the fans who go to the track love them.

However, not only are Saturday night races horrible races, they don't get good ratings.

Kinda makes you wonder if these speeding penalties are just NASCAR manufacturing racing by putting faster cars in the back. I wouldn't have thought it possible a few years ago, but today...
