If no passing happens it'll suck because it'll be normal 1.5 racing but slower, hoping for the best tho
 
I bet my Super Duty has more horse power. This race has to be a joke, or they're trying to accelerate the collapse of NASCAR.
 
Why don't we wait until today's practice and/or the race tonight to throw them under the bus. I just wish they were televising practice so we could get a better idea on how the speeds look.
 
So far lap speeds in the 172/173 range.

Track seems really wide this year for some reason. Upper groove has gotten a lot of use yesterday and today.
 
I foresee a lot of wrecked race cars tonight, mainly in the open
 
I give NASCAR as much crap as anyone but if you're really going to give the, crap for trying to make this stale event more exciting then I see why they don't listen to the fans. They get criticized no matter what. I really don't understand why they didn't just run the roval this weekend, would've been a test session for the chase, and still provided some entertaining racing

Same, that’s what I’m hoping anyways. I don’t care to watch 30 plate races next year.

The only way i see this working is if they don't hit that wall of air, if they are able to sling shot and pass maybe it will work, but i don't see it being any different than Daytona....just 20 mph slower.

Indy does it at places like Texas and its thrilling because they are full throttle without restriction on speed and on the edge.

With Cup cars it’s just a handicapped version of racing IMO. I’d be interested in seeing this package without the plates on.

I would be too, I guess i have to reserve judgement until i see a full race, but to me this is just another lame attempt at fixing something that is obviously the car. The next generation car going to be any different? I have severe doubts about that too, I'm just worried Nascar gets all giddy and considers this a major success, plate racing at almost every track will be horrible.....but who knows. Just color me skeptical because in my mind I have not seen any good racing with plates. Just my opinion, I know some of you love it.
 
I listened to the Logano pressor after practice. He said he couldn't hold it wide open and then there is tire fall off. Tires make a difference also.
 
I watched Logano as much as possible, yellow car, easy to see. Pretty interesting what he could do.
