I need to think of something new for here
One thing, we dont know how fast they are gonna go when all the cars are on the track, we havent seen that because of the all rain today, the draft is gonna increase the speed some, how much and will it be easy to pass is the unknown.
But you make a valid point.

Cars passing eachother at 150 mph and 6000 rpm is just not exciting. Lacking major skill and speed to get around an otherwise difficult track.

While probably true, that time was all pit crew and Matt said as much. SHR were several MPH faster coming down pit road.

Matt was in top equipment his entire career
I think Matt could still consistently outrun the majority of guys 10 or more years his junior.
Great to see him back in a racecar.
Hell yes, I’d love to see him in a top car with a top team.
I’m not a fan of this qualifying format or “knock out” qualifying.
I haven’t watched the All Star race in a few years. I prolly won’t watch tomorrow.
