This seems more promising than the national forecasts - those are almost making it seem impossible that they get anything in on Sunday. Calling for AM thunderstorms and afternoon, 80%
Well, it is only Wednesday. Hard to put a lot of faith in these predictions. This seems more promising than the national forecasts - those are almost making it seem impossible that they get anything in on Sunday. Calling for AM thunderstorms and afternoon, 80%
Wednesday forecasts just determine whether I pack a rain coat or jacket. Saturday evening forecasts determine whether I go to the track Sunday morning or find something else to do in the area.Well, it is only Wednesday. Hard to put a lot of faith in these predictions.

I know I know, I've tried to look away all week. Over the weekend it was around 20%. This same thing happened last year though, showed rain all week leading up to it. Race day comes and it says it was going to clear up by about 6pm. So I hop in the car hightail it and sure enough, after driving over there from Tampa it still got pushed.Well, it is only Wednesday. Hard to put a lot of faith in these predictions.
I'm showing 20% Sunday and 80% on Monday. This seems more promising than the national forecasts - those are almost making it seem impossible that they get anything in on Sunday. Calling for AM thunderstorms and afternoon, 80%
I wonder how the hot dog count compares to Martinsville?
Yeah it updated around 2 this afternoon. Hoping it continues to go that direction!I'm showing 20% Sunday and 80% on Monday.
The favorite for the Daytona 500 pole is...Early pole candidates
Bubba Wallace
Alex Bowman
William Byron
Danica
I'm wondering the same. I'll be out there pretty early and plan to probably just park af Best Buy like usual. I'm sure it'll be at least $10-15 sadly.Without an actual nascar event on Saturday, is parking the same where free parking is at lot 7, or can a person park closer to the track?
Yep. And 4 straight for the team. The favorite for the Daytona 500 pole is...
Chase Elliott.
That would be three in a row, right?
I'll put a crisp $1 on Bubba Wallace. The favorite for the Daytona 500 pole is...

Yeah, that is a good looking ride.I like that paint better than any of the Mt Dew cars, even the old school colors.
Without a stopwatch or them telling us, I probably wouldn't notice. Especially watching on television. There is no sense of speed when I watch from my couch. That's the great thing about getting up off my a$$ and going to the race.they saying speeds might be up to 15 mph faster!!!! yikes lol
well you need to go lol!! ill be there, but anyways just knowing they could be going 15 mph faster is crazy dont u think ? thats crazy going around daytona lolWithout a stopwatch or them telling us, I probably wouldn't notice. Especially watching on television. There is no sense of speed when I watch from my couch. That's the great thing about getting up off my a$$ and going to the race.
I'll make it to Daytona someday. Other priorities right now and for the next few years. Then, I'll get back on track.well you need to go lol!! ill be there, but anyways just knowing they could be going 15 mph faster is crazy dont u think ? thats crazy going around daytona lol
Crazy, yes. I'm still a bigger fan of the slowest track on the schedule. Speed isn't necessary to make racing exciting.knowing they could be going 15 mph faster is crazy dont u think ? thats crazy going around daytona lol
but reason why i think its crazy because wasnt they suppose to be slowing the cars down?Crazy, yes. I'm still a bigger fan of the slowest track on the schedule. Speed isn't necessary to make racing exciting.

so they bringing plates to slow it down???? i hope not!! i want to see them go faster hahaha.. are you going down to daytona? You won't see the increase in practice IMO...and maybe not even qualifying. Fully expect sandbagging. Clash and Duels could be awesome. I am jacked for the changes and the impact they will have on speed. Jamie Mac says that NASCAR is bringing different plates to address it. This is why I think you will see teams play the cat and mouse. I love this sh!t.
This from their website...Without an actual nascar event on Saturday, is parking the same where free parking is at lot 7, or can a person park closer to the track?
If they approach lift speeds, they will be used.so they bringing plates to slow it down???? i hope not!! i want to see them go faster hahaha.. are you going down to daytona?
They only have 2 practices on Saturday leading up to Qualifying and then the Duels on Thursday. They wont be holding anything back, they dont have time. You won't see the increase in practice IMO...and maybe not even qualifying. Fully expect sandbagging. Clash and Duels could be awesome. If the cars actually run 10-15 mph faster (which I doubt), expect NASCAR to slow them down at Talladega.but reason why i think its crazy because wasnt they suppose to be slowing the cars down?
Don't stay in Orlando, or anywhere along I-4 really. It sucks. Go north or south.is it any near beaches there i could stay at besides daytona?? i still havent got a room yet .. i might have to stay in orlando
