Almost need a road grader to turn that top layer of dirt (mud) over
Plus they do this every week. Tear-offs on face shields. Shaker screens in front of radiator.Less wheel spin. No windshield
Interesting, they have less wheel spin?Less wheel spin. No windshield
Seems like itInteresting, they have less wheel spin?
Not now, but I assume they do at their own dirt races. The Late Models aren’t running close together.
Then my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?Less wheel spin. No windshield
No point in chancing running over each other. The Late Models aren’t running close together.
They certainly do.Not now, but I assume they do at their own dirt races.
What part of the track is too wet don't you get? Then my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?
Too much water. Then my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?
air intakes that feed the radiators don't clog with mud as easilyStupid question - why do the Trucks have problems that the late models apparently don't?
Look at the pic I'm sure you will figure it out. Right at the top of the 1 is where the air exhaustsNot now, but I assume they do at their own dirt races.
Heat races.I thought the race was at 8 (was watching golf/basketball) then got a text from my dad saying the trucks lasted a lap before they had to red flag it...lol. I'm hoping to see at least one lap of green.....
Different dirt. Eldora is at night isn’t it?Then my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?
The track is soakedThen my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?
It very rarely rained on race day at Eldora. A different time of year as well. They should have had held this off until June. Then my next question is, why is there a problem tonight when there hasn't been at Eldora? Or did the same problems happen there and I'm ignorant?
Do regular dirt tracks have the same problems? Do they experience these conditions, and do they have solutions? What part of the track is too wet don't you get?
I hate it when your fears come true.......In a weird way the rain is our friend this weekend. Not only
will it improve the tracks raceability , it will keep the dust at
bay a little longer. Just hope we get some long dry windows.
My question is the windscreens. How many and what are
the maximum tearoffs one can have on the car. I am interested
to see if there will be vision issues.
I surrender.Do regular dirt tracks have the same problems? Do they experience these conditions, and do they have solutions?
Thanks. I thought the intake was located similar to a Cup or X car.air intakes that feed the radiators don't clog with mud as easily

Again, thanks. Other than a couple of broadcasts events and one trip to a dirt track 30+ years ago on a scorching summer evening, I'm new to this. They simply don't race. The solution is called "see ya next week"
Yep, while on a paved oval, once the rain stops, send out the jet dryer, and the track will be ready in an hour or twoYes, you think it takes awhile to dry a pavement track.....you pretty much have to let mother nature dry a dirt track.
About all you can do is try and turn that top layer over and then let nature dry the track.
I read this in NR2003 voice.Drivers to their trucks.
I was going to ask how humidity/dew points affect various dirt track compositions? I noticed the humidity is going to be in the 75-85% range and dew points in the 55-65 range until drier air moves in tomorrow evening.Yes, you think it takes awhile to dry a pavement track.....you pretty much have to let mother nature dry a dirt track.
With Charlie here, the only thing I know about dirt racing is they race on what looks like a dirt type substance.Again, thanks. Other than a couple of broadcasts events and one trip to a dirt track 30+ years ago on a scorching summer evening, I'm new to this.
You've been bitching for 2 days will you just shut up already we know you don't like this. This is also why I'm a pavement guy.. With paved ovals, once they're dry, you're basically good to go
