Family ties. And Jimmy Haslem is worth three billion. I seriously doubt Pilot Flying J's ability to sponsor a Xfinity car is dependent on Michael Annett being the driving.
As long as Annett is there, he will be sponsored by them.

#97 Rubbermaid Fordoh wow a curveball. Everyone thought it was slam dunk to 23XI. Who could the second one be
That would be cool to see him finish his career at Roush.#97 Rubbermaid Ford
Brad is getting the band back together. That would be cool to see him finish his career at Roush.
I wonder if its 2 offers to drive or the 23XI offer and the fox offer?
Also, can we appreiciate the music selection?I think he has a win coming at some point over the next year-plus.
Hot gossip
I think Petty needs to much help to flip over to Toys. Heck they even have an X Toy driver.Hattori I could see being the “out of the blue” on since it would be a Japanese relationship. I could also see Petty flipping.
Last summer the rumor was RPM to Toyota, then the 23XI team happened and that went away. I was waiting to hear 23XI was buying/merging with RPM.I think Petty needs to much help to flip over to Toys. Heck they even have an X Toy driver.
I guess anything is possible.Last summer the rumor was RPM to Toyota, then the 23XI team happened and that went away. I was waiting to hear 23XI was buying/merging with RPM.
I recall my 2020 Bold Prediction was RPM would fold or merge.Last summer the rumor was RPM to Toyota, then the 23XI team happened and that went away. I was waiting to hear 23XI was buying/merging with RPM.
hmmm
That's really strange to me. Have they been having any issues with either? I mean changing spotters generally doesn't change how well a driver runs.hmmm
And there was no hint towards it on DBC this weekVery odd…
TJ and Logano seem to be one of the better spotter/driver pairings in recent times…
I really want to know why the hell all that is happening. Thats honestly a huge surprise to me
True. It sounded like business as usual, TJ spoke of the 22 car and Logano as he always seemed to do.And there was no hint towards it on DBC this week
You know now that I think of it the week before Brett said there was going to be a big spotter silly season shuffling but I think he said it was with a spotter with the last name Green would start it.True. It sounded like business as usual, TJ spoke of the 22 car and Logano as he always seemed to do.
Well, NOW I would imagine there’s a chance TJ goes with Brad to Roush… but who knows if that was already planned before this week or not…
He may have to go back and check the data.True. It sounded like business as usual, TJ spoke of the 22 car and Logano as he always seemed to do.

As a 22 fan I don’t like this.True. It sounded like business as usual, TJ spoke of the 22 car and Logano as he always seemed to do.

This. Out of the blue entirely. It's also a little awkward considering how they low key crap on Keselowski this season on the show. (hitting Logano and his struggles on RCs)I guess people will say that TJ sucks
And there was no hint towards it on DBC this week
Refresh my memory: Was that Kurt Busch's spotter? I remember the segment you're mentioning, just not the specifics of who the first domino would be.You know now that I think of it the week before Brett said there was going to be a big spotter silly season shuffling but I think he said it was with a spotter with the last name Green would start it.
TJ, although often a douchecanoe, is one of the best spotters in the business and a great listen on DBC when his bias isn't blinding him. Why in the world would he voluntarily leave one of the best teams and drivers in the sport to basically go work on a startup/rebuild situation and run 20th every week?As a 22 fan I don’t like this.
Him possibly going to Roush was my first thought. I’d imagine he’s getting top rate pay from Penske, so maybe he’s going to Roush in some sort of expanded role?
just speculation of course.
What's the cubic volume of a douchecanoe?TJ, although often a douchecanoe, is one of the best spotters in the business and a great listen on DBC when his bias isn't blinding him. Enough to hold 2 days worth of Matty D tears. (I wanted to shoehorn a pushrod length joke in, but I failed.)What's the cubic volume of a douchecanoe?
I believe soRefresh my memory: Was that Kurt Busch's spotter? I remember the segment you're mentioning, just not the specifics of who the first domino would be.
How do you know if he even has a choice to stay or go. I would imagine he is an independent contractor instead of an employeeTJ, although often a douchecanoe, is one of the best spotters in the business and a great listen on DBC when his bias isn't blinding him. Agreed. The only thing I can think of is he has taken some sort of expanded role with Roush. Were they on Racing-Forums.com?I was told by several sources that these types of decisions that Penske makes are extremely calculated and taking any amount of time speculating or questioning it is a waste of time.
Next topic, please.
