amen to that. Just reeking of mediocrity.A lot of angst over someone's mediocrity.

Roger thought Harrison Burton was a better option. Case closed, done deal.

I cant get into the mind of Roger Penske unfortunately. He thought Burton was a better option going forward, it is what it is at this point.I'm talking about THIS year. Apparently neither Cindric nor Burton was a better option for 2021. The logic that says Burton is a better option in 2022 escapes me. Unless of course it's not actually about getting results on the track.
I dont remember mentioning Ryan Blaney in my posts. So now we are going to compare Ryan vs Matt...... fair enough. Ryan won a race in the 21....... Matt will likely be 0/2 years. I like it when drivers win races. Some of you think he is mediocre. Some of us do not. In 88 races in the 21, Ryan Blaney had 8 top 5 finishes. In 59 races, Matt has five. How mediocre is Ryan Blaney?
I just want off this ride. Help.Man I can't wait until we get some real silly season news and everyone stops kicking this dead horse.................
I can't even find any bs from reddit to throw in hereMan I can't wait until we get some real silly season news and everyone stops kicking this dead horse.................
just making something up at this point ha haI can't even find any bs from reddit to throw in here
now ya did it.with the backing and help the 21 car should be running in the top 15 every week with more top 5 and 10,i dont think matt or ryan are the problem

I get what you're trying to say, but the only way Matty D is winning one is if it's a rain shortened race and they're on a different strategy from everyone else. Remember, NASCAR doesn't like it when non-playoff cars are trying to be part of the lead show.Well, since Ryan got promoted up to the A team, I think his performance on the B team is relevant to the conversation. Ryan won ONE race. Matt has been close. It certainly doesn't help that Ford and Penske seem to be a little bit off their game this year. Now that the team is gelling however, I wouldn't be shocked if they win one before the season is out. The 21 is probably being used as guinea pig for the 2 and 22 by this time in the season, and if they hit on something good, I could see a win.
yeah you lost me here. I wasnt even thinking about Ryan when I made my initial post on whatever page that was before so in my view he's not relevant to the conversation but since we are going there...... I would imagine Roger doesnt pay drivers for being close.... he pays them for winning championships and races. Matty D unfortunately for him I mean we can come up with theories, teams gelling, missed breaks and whatever else...... has done neither of those.Well, since Ryan got promoted up to the A team, I think his performance on the B team is relevant to the conversation. I'm so sorry my thread, I created... my baby..... to borrow the meme I used earlier in the week. I hold the The Matty D Apologists responsibleI think this thread needs to be split up into a silly season thread and a how valuable Matty D is thread. Until we get some new information from another driver or team, this is going to be it.
On the contrary, NASCAR loves it when an underdog makes the playoffs. Absolutely loves it.I get what you're trying to say, but the only way Matty D is winning one is if it's a rain shortened race and they're on a different strategy from everyone else. McDowell is gonna be one this year.On the contrary, NASCAR loves it when an underdog makes the playoffs. Absolutely loves it.
Seriously. Maybe sponsors were turned off by his waterworks.A lot of angst over someone's mediocrity.
The best that #21 car has been is top 10 speed with rare top 5’s sprinkled in. The team has 2 wins in 20 years and has finished in the top 10 in points one time in almost 30 years. Anyone thinking this team is elite, or even has no idea what they are talking about.I get what you're trying to say, but the only way Matty D is winning one is if it's a rain shortened race and they're on a different strategy from everyone else. I felt this was lobbed at me so Can we say Matty D isnt that good along with the team? or is it just the team's fault he hasnt won? Also was it the 95 teams fault he didnt win? or Joe Gibbs? and not Matty D's? He doesnt take blame in any of this? The best that #21 car has been is top 10 speed with rare top 5’s sprinkled in. Oh, a driver isnt good enough because they havent won a race with WBR? Well only two drivers have in two decades. Maybe the attention put on the driver isn’t the major malfunction with this team.
There is a lot of incorrect assumption going on here.I felt this was lobbed at me so Can we say Matty D isnt that good along with the team? or is it just the team's fault he hasnt won? Also was it the 95 teams fault he didnt win? or Joe Gibbs? and not Matty D's? He doesnt take blame in any of this?
I agree but racing has never been fair, this has played out many times before. The most relevant question is, is Harrison Burton one of the 50? As so often is the case, I think this whole deal is a lot more about money than ability and potential.
I hear Rick Ware is hiringMatt drove for Bob Leavine.
Perhaps that’s where he got his sense of entitlement.
More than likely part-time, but with whom... No clue as of yet.Any news about GMS? Are they going to acquire a charter? If not, will they be full time or just part time? Who do we think will drive for them?

IMHO, I think Zane or Creed gets those limited runnings or flip-flop between themselves.
KBM? Doubt it, but you never know. Maybe ThorSport is making the leap? DGR ditches Ford?Thinking JHN
