The creativity was nice to see^I loved the twisted sisters of the 2000s.
These cars are a failure on road courses and short tracks. Maybe they need to go back to the late 70's and early 80's when teams had two different body styles for short tracks and road courses and another for superspeedways.
Solving problems that don’t exist.
Nothing wrong with it that some changes to tire construction and compounds won’t correct. You think this car is just fine on short tracks?
I don’t agree with your premise so I can’t offer an opinion. The Xfinity race was an infinity times better than the Cup race this week. Was it really just the tires' fault?
You watched the xfinity race right? The race between Zilisch and SVG? What driver was missing from the Cup race? The Xfinity race was an infinity times better than the Cup race this week. Was it really just the tires' fault?

The Xfinity race was two times better than the Cup race because it had two competitive drivers. Elliott's two charges from 10th provided some extra entertainment in the Cup race but beyond that, TV didn't show us much happening in the rest of the field for either race. The Xfinity race was an infinity times better than the Cup race this week. Two competitive drivers in the X race vs. one in the Cup. Certainly not infinite, and I'm not sure how it could be attributed to the tires. Two times better?
Making the Cup tire the same width as the old tire would probably help, but that's not happening anytime soon. Two competitive drivers in the X race vs. one in the Cup. Certainly not infinite, and I'm not sure how it could be attributed to the tires.
Okay, maybe 1.5 times better if we count Chase as semi-competitive.
No, you only need Tony to be available and willing. You don’t have to have a wind tunnel to blow smoke.
Extremely well played, sir. I got nothing. No, you only need Tony to be available and willing.
The 15 inch tires weren't failing when they had 900+ hp. Get rid of the current junk. The brake package & single nut wheels suck.If they do this or bury it, my guess is 750 for the small tracks. Let them burn the tires off trying to pass each other Goodyear will just make a harder tire. They have been here before. If people want to see high HP with passing go watch a 410 sprint race. It ain't going to happen with the taxi cabs. Goodyear isn't going to make a tire that will fail like the 410's have or any dirt series for that matter. I don't see any of the pavement stuff doing it.

Denny talked about the tire test earlier this year at Iowa with Briscoe in his car, said Goodyear brought two tires to the test. The one they used last Sunday and a softer one that fell off 2 to 2.5 seconds after 20 or so laps. They opted to use the harder one for last Sunday.
Trying to fix the car with tires is like putting lipstick on a pig. It makes it look a little better, but its still a pig. The front a mile in the air and the back on the ground will never produce great racing on these tracksOf course they did.
IMO, Goodyear is by far the biggest problem with the current car.

That makes plenty of sense but I don't see what the sidewall height has to do with the number of lugs. If the teams want a taller sidewall, does that require going back to five lugs? If not, then why complain about something that has nothing to do with the (perceived) real issue? The complaint stems from what drivers are saying about the tire. With a taller sidewall they said they could tell the edge better. With the shorter sidewall it is good until it isn't.
real issue? There are many real issues to hear some tell it. Being around Nascar for more than a week I know the car continues to be a constantly evolving project and just because Junior or others don't like it doesn't make it so. Preece thinks they need a 1000 H.P. maybe more. Seems like everybody has an opinion. Does anybody know how much money it would take to pull 1000 H.P. out of a small block? Lets see, new engine for practice, might need one for qualifying, new engine for the race, do that 40 times per car. That makes plenty of sense but I don't see what the sidewall height has to do with the number of lugs. That happens in racing all the time. Look at all the Gen6 cars and parts teams unloaded when the Gen7 car started being used. How much money have Goodyear and the teams spent developing the 18” tire and current brake packages?
So … just toss all the data and start over? So easy to spend other people’s money.
