Half of the GTP field is off or out of the race.
IMSA TV is probably only gonna work for you with a VPN.Thanks, but I don't get Peacock. I can't get IMSA TV to play either, so I'll just keep checking here for updates.
daytona at night is spectacular
Compared to the engines all around, and the banging and clanging from your own and other bays, and the infield partiers, her yelling ain't squat. No way this lady is screaming doing an interview and these guys are trying to sleep in the back ground
Okay, ignore that; I don't know what I was seeing on timing and scoring.GTD - 93 Acura has 4 lap lead over next cars
In addition to that I would imagine they are using earplugs.Compared to the engines all around, and the banging and clanging from your own and other bays, and the infield partiers, her yelling ain't squat.
If you get tired enough, you can sleep through anything. I've been on Army training exercises where we slept through outgoing artillery fire.
Foam ear pieces and custom earbuds are excellent for it.In addition to that I would imagine they are using earplugs.
TV booth just said AO sold out the Rexy and Spike gear they brought this weekend.Rexy is doing a great
Go big or go home, I guess.93 car too fast in middle sector of pit road by.....
15 mph.
I get it but these cars kinda carried Prototype racing during the years where Toyota was the sole LMP1 manufacturer. Glad these times are over. Thanks for the information. Makes sense if that’s the case but kinda kills it for me when there is no variety.
Didn't know Dennis was in the race.93 car too fast in middle sector of pit road by.....

The booth mentioned one reason the competition in LMP2 has improved lately is because there are more top-tier drivers globally than there are seats available in GTPs, HyperCars, etc. LMP2 provides slots for those guys who are between prototype rides to keep their skills up and demonstrate those abilities.I get it but these cars kinda carried Prototype racing during the years where Toyota was the sole LMP1 manufacturer. Glad these times are over.
They still serve a purpose as the continental top class in ELMS and ALMS and as a less expensive starting point for young prototype drivers.
It's been less than 20 minutes. This is the first caution in a while and officials wanted to clean the track.Turned it on just in time to sit through a half hour caution for a single car incident where the car drove away.
You said it!Also, cautions breed cautions.
I look forwards to it going green again around 8:45AM. Maybe I'll still have it on then! It's been less than 20 minutes. This is the first caution in a while and officials wanted to clean the track.
Also, cautions breed cautions.
It’s slowly becoming that way at Le Mans as well, and there’s a lot more room for safety vehicle intervention there. Daytona is a tricky place to find gaps for safety workers to attend to incidents. Is it “pure”…probably not. Is it safer and does it keep things more interesting for most people…yes. Competitors seem to enjoy it so I don’t foresee a process change anytime soon.I'm still not a fan of the safety cars. Building a gap over five hours only to kill all the work with one caution just doesn't feel right in an endurance race.
