2026 Rolex 24 Daytona

The Porsche vise-grip is squeezing ever so slightly every lap.
I'm with Letarte, someone needs to create a gambling hail Mary to have a shot.

Three hours left and 10 GTPs on the lead lap.
In fairness, when more than 1/3 of the race is held under caution and cautions = everyone gets their laps back, it's not that big a surprise.

Porsche is gonna win the overall. I am expecting a caution inside the last hour come hook or by crook so who knows what happens with the GTs. LMP2 is similarly competitive so I'm sure at least half of the top 5 will crash out in embarrassing fashion.

4 Corvette gained a ton of time through their pit cycle and are on the back end of Grello for what could be the effective class lead.

Anyone know how what kind of lap time / speed a GTP could turn if it ran just the oval?
I’ve seen the Porsches pretty consistently hitting 195 into the Bus Stop and 202 into turn 1 when they’ve had telemetry up. If they ran them at minimum BoP parameters they could rip probably around 210 without a draft. I think that’s what top speeds at Le Mans have been in recent years too.

Kind of disappointed Ellis looks like he'll hold on in GTD. That was borderline dirty driving.

Sucks that Thim had to worry about getting a penalty and had to keep lifting when Ellis drove him the way he did.
