Just a question on the way that they state these 'ratings bumps'.I wouldn't expect a bump until the following week. Extra viewers wouldn't tune in until 'after' they found out about Danica winning the pole. If there are more viewers watching the duels or the 500 ,that would be the bump, would it not?

Someone tweets that Danica won the poll and presto!, people tune in and the boxes report a ratings jump. Isn't the internet wonderful?

Danica was just on PTI (Pardon the Interruption - espn).
They were asking her about a commercial she did with Bar Raphael for GoDaddy :pbjtime:.

I just saw the last part though...they probably talked some racing earlier.

Yeah but she didn't know she had won the pole till the last car qualified.

Yep, most of it. Some people probably tuned in when she finished her run and watched to see if her time would be enough. Ratings are now known instantly, so they can actually see the bump as it happens and they know exactly why it happened.

Be careful at the races this year andy, my wife has seen your picture and she watched the nbc nightly news and it was filled with nothing but biased political crap and no Danica. If a small petite woman comes up and pops you in the snoot you'll know why.

It'll be Wednesday. I thought it was tonight since she was doing the interview with them earlier in the day.

CBS Evening News on Thursday.
 
You know when Danicrash first came to the cup, I was rooting for her. Then I saw the unfair treatment she was getting compared to the other drivers, and I immediately started to hate her. I wish more than anything she would loose her ride at SH, and it would be given to a worthy driver like The Dinger or Mr. Smith. I predict this pole will be nothing more than a good qualifying effort, and she avoid crashing, but she will have a medicore finish somewhere around 15th-25th.

Welcome Captain ,I think that any 1st year operation would be happy with 15th to 25th place finishes.

Her being treated like royalty may be unfair, but it's not her fault and she's handled it real well. Smith and Dinger had good opportunities in nascar, so I have no problem with Danica getting her 3 years to prove herself.

Dinger, kinda, he really only had a half decent ride for about 4 months though, and he was doing half decent. Smith, he has never been in a good ride, but everybody saw how good he could do with good equipment when he drove as a sub for Jr last year.

Thanks, and you kinda have a good point, but it should be kept in mind that Stewart Haas has the second best equipment on the track...

I think that Ryan Newman is one of the top wheelmen on the track , but his equipment isn't giving him many wins.

Sir, I percieve that thou art a profit. They didnt send me to Siberia, but the Danica conspiracy agents strategically destroyed my RAZR and shut me down. It happened very shortly after writing the previous post. Being truthful is a costly thing.

I tried my old iphone but it was to outdated to effectively browse let alone post. So I just threw down $300 on Galaxy tonight, this is the first post.

I think there's some truth in this-Newman is getting the worst equitment at SH but worst equitment at SH aint bad-its like the best equitment at MW Racing. However, Newman is also a OK driver.
