500 Qualifying-plus all things Danica

Imagine what would happen if Danica threatened violence against Bob Pockrass or tore Jenna Fryer's notes up........

OK, enough with the threatened crap. If a driver says he's refraining himself from doing something, it's the exact opposite of a threat. IMO, nascar should have told Pockrass to stop being a whining little kid and man up for a little have at it.

Seriously, who is really afraid of Kurt Busch in the first place? He's all talk.

I think Miller brewing started to fear his baggage and wanted him out of the car long before his 2011 meltdowns. But I agree with your point, Jenna Fryer could probably put a hurting on him.

Yep. It was pretty obvious by the Miller announcement when Brad came on board, while Pennzoil said outright they didn't care who was in their car because they would make a ton of money on the side deals with Penske dealerships and trucks.

During the qualifying on Sunday, when danica's qualifying run were compared to the ghost images of Gordon's, Newman's and Stewart's qualifying run, her car although not being as quick in the turns would out accelerate and overall run quite a bit faster than the rest. Why was this?

I have nothing against her, and can respect new talent in the sport, especially from a female, but I wouldn't put it past NASCAR to help her with getting the pole to attract all sorts of attention.

The invisible UFO had a superduper magnet that pulled Danicas front end with a force that equates to 25 extry horsepowers.

I am most impressed with your powers of observation, Brian doesn't like his chosen Danica advantage UFO sponsored by the unidentified feminist lesbians to be working the frontstretch. The UFOs turbulence just shakes the furniture in the VIP suites to much.

Last of all If this message disappears over night just remember there are evil people in this world that hate us for endeavoring to promote the truth.
If they come and take me to Siberia during the night to never be heard from again , well Godspeed to you my true friend for seeking the truth.
Don't worry about me if it happens, there will be desperate Ukrainian women in need of assistance in Siberia I am sure.
Stay strong, keep the faith, and continue to illuminate the unlearnt.

If I show up tomorrow be careful with anything I may say, they will probably have replicated me to avoid any signs of foul play. Evil Danica dose that kind of stuff all the time. I just regret having only one righteous life to give to our endeavour to educate the ignorant masses.

The ladies in our accounting department were talking about Danica this morning. They are all about 40 years old and have never watched a race of any kind but some of them are planning to try to watch at least the beginning of the Daytona 500. Maybe they will tune in every once in awhile to see where Danica is running. That's how a lot of people get started watching NASCAR. Maybe this will help slow down the ratings decline. Stranger things have happened.

it was the dual turbo transmogrifier, along with an ultra-sonic catalytic fuel converter, that gave the car the extra horsepower

and the discombobulated traction control devices, front and rear, didn't hurt either

Chad Knaus has been using that stuff for years . . .

Yep. No matter how you look at it, it's good for the sport that she's on the pole. I underestimated what kind of boost this could bring.

I've had political pundit types, people who haven't watched NASCAR, well, ever, asking me about Danica and NASCAR.

So, I'll go out on the short and well supported limb now and predict that the 2014 Sprint Unlimited starting lineup will once again be based on the order in which the drivers won their respective pole. Danica will be on the pole position for 2014 Sprint Unlimited.

That is what happens when one car is faster than the others .Had Jeff Gordon's car been faster ,we wouldn't be having this ,or any, discussion. Especially when you 'have nothing against Danica'.

No need to apologize to me. It's more work for the mods having to monitor and move all that stuff every time someone creates a thread on the same subject.

What gives the mods undue worry is when we can't/wont accept other's opinions - no matter how foolish they appear - for what they are and then turn on them with childish threats, name calling and personal attacks.

If people don't like all the Danica Patrick threads and go into them for the sole purpose of mouthing off at the OP, that's NOT the fault of anyone except the person who chose the option to click into that particular thread.

Maybe that person should be held accountable instead of the thread starter.

Rant over - for now :D

If everyone here were that mature, this wouldn't be any fun at all. I do agree that 1 or 2 Danica threads should be enough. If someone feels the urge for extra attention, large and bright letters in their post should do the trick.

I'm not sure I get why this was directed at my post but whatever floats your boat.

In the absence of a "stomping my feet" emoticon and bitching until the end of time on Facebook not working, large and bright will have to do.

This is funny stuff, Some bitch about about all the coverage Danica gets then there are too many threads with Danica in them, so I guess either side you stand on she is the hot topic. Not for me(oh wait I just posted and used her name twice) Dang!!! LOL

We need to get this season started !
ROTFLMAO

Watch what you ask for. Danica may win the 500 after a late debris caution puts her out front, and then we'll be neck deep in Danica threads.

I for one have my conspiracy theory ready to go.

My dear old departed Dad must have seen it coming.
He used to tell me that the middle aged feminist lesbians in Michigans always sticked together, and could be pegged for their unity.

His wisdom was spot-on. what amazes me most was his geographical precision.

Wait, did he peg one middled aged lesbian from Michigan, or 2 that were stuck together??????

Daytona 500 Qualifying TV Ratings: Danica Patrick becoming the first woman to capture the pole position for the Daytona 500 will obviously draw more viewer attention to an event that could use some extra hype. The 500 in 2012 was the fourth consecutive year that the race drew less than a 10 rating; the race had exceeded a 10 rating in seven of the eight previous years. But Patrick's performance in qualifying Sunday gave Fox just a small ratings pop: That coverage drew a 2.0 overnight rating, translating to 2% of households in the 56 urban markets measured for overnights -- up 11% from last year.(USA Today), no reports yet on TV Ratings for the Sprint Unlimited.

Wait until everyone finds out Danica is really a converted alter boy who's real name is Patrick Danica.
