Bonehead of the Week: Pocono

What? Pit road has a VERY visible beginning and end. Orange cones come to mind.

A very visible yellow line for the drivers, and an invisible timing loop that's used to hand out penalties.

Simple logic on this one. IF drivers were indeed pushing the speed limit too far, I would have to believe they intentionally went slower in 10 segments, then used a different RPM mark for just the last segment. It's just not believable, IMO. NASCAR or the track will realize the problem was with them and they will quietly fix it. Come August, I expect we'll hear about evidence of repainted pit out lines or mysterious new cuts in the pit road surface.
