Bristol Pre-race Race Thread

Anybody else catch the end of Race Hub tonight? Kenseth was the guest, and they finished the interview with the clip of Smoke heaving his helmet at Matt's car. Danielle said something about him being 'smiley Matt' this time, and he spat out something like 'not anymore' through a clenched grin. So much for slapping themselves on the back for shoving 600 episodes down our throats.

Chevy's turn to win this week, right?

40% chance of rain on sat. I wonder if the Air Titan will surface?
wonder how it does with snow? it is snowing tonite, and a 20% chance of snow Friday. Great just great Sat And Sun predicting rain. Hope they are wrong as usual.

snow don't matter. they can blow that off no problem.

Would be sweeeeet to see snow on the empty seats and racing going on.

Yeah it is but really?????? a pic of the #2 car right on top when I open it up??????Should have known it was a setup.

I didn't even notice. That was a good finish. Matt got a little rough and they were banging and bumping to the end.

Funny. The 18 and 2 took no tires at vegas, and I think they finshed one two.

Smart guys. Kenseth told Ratcliff to keep him up front for the restart. I like that. Kenseth, Keselowski, and Johnson are my favorites to win the title this year.

I like this

Get inside the garage:
GarageCam will be live streaming on Friday, March 15 from the Nationwide garages at 10 a.m. and the Sprint Cup garages at 11:30 a.m. ET.

I think they will forgo the large rig, and pull the single units with F-450s or F-550s

DP is there, he probaly got out his trusty slide rule and tape measure, brushed the snow out of the way, took a slug of BL and got to work measuring. :D

Just saw the Bristol Race was going to start at 12pm. C'mon, this should obviously be a night race!

I may have to DVR this race, so I hope to see some short track action!

Oh yea, I have DVR now hehehe, thanks Fibrant!

Going with Kyle on this one.
Oh hell, yeah. If ever there was a no-brainer on the schedule, this is it.

Been there, done that back in '06. Combine the snow on all three days with my being in a cast and it was the most bizarre racing weekend I've attended. Still, it beat the hell out of being at work :)

Just got back from the Food City Family race night in Knoxville. I would say I was disappointed but I got in free so....

HOT DOG ! If only you had met Diogenes! He always was looking for an honest man. Finally, someone with the intestinal fortitude to admit their Neanderthal psyche has a need for wrecks! Charlie Spencer, you da man!
Hey, anybody who says they don't enjoy a couple of wrecks in a race is lying.

That's part of why I prefer short tracks. The speeds are low enough the drivers can beat and bang and rub all they want. They still have a half decent chance to straighten the car out, and not much chance of real harm when they can't. A couple of yellows tighten up the field and let everyone stretch and pee. (That does NOT mean I want to see scheduled cautions.) That doesn't mean that's all I want to see, or that I prefer the wrecks to racing side by side or working traffic.

Plus, if Jr. gets taken out early, all his fans leave early and the post-race traffic is that much lighter :p

I didn't even know they had one in Knoxville. They used to hold it in Johnson City for the day race, and on State Street in Bristol for the night race. Johnson City sucked so they moved it to the track, but it still sucks.

If you want a decent Food City Family Race Night, I'd suggest going to State Street in August. It's much better.

Yeah I only saw one cup driver scheduled to be there. Just a handful of cup cars.

Already told ya but worthy of repeating. I mean every word you said.

It always rains during the race in Bristol, lol. Good thing it doesn't take long to dry that track. The past few times I've gone, it's rained.
