BUBBA WALLACE FINISHED SECOND!

What exactly is the reference here? I'm not a huge social media guy so I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.
Ever since NASCAR dipped their toes into the BLM movement waters and put Bubba Wallace on center stage as an obvious advocate, the portion of the fanbase that still holds racism dear to their hearts has been losing their minds on this young man. Add in the confederate flag ban, the noose incident, and so on and the things people have been saying are just downright ugly and pathetic. All cause the guy was born with different colored skin.

Amen and amen.

I don't understand it either.

Owner on paper only then, must be part of his compensation package.
If he owned shares in the company they can't take them away. They would have to buy his shares.

Buy them based on he value of the company, which depends on how it's valued and who is determining the value. At the end of the day I don't think RPM has much for assets beyond the value of the charter and sponsors. I don't believe they own any buildings anymore. Brad Daugherty talked about this the other day on the late shift

I'm glad not to know those people.

I don't waste my time on social media, so I have no idea what is being said about him over there, so I can't comment on it, but the BLM issue is VERY serious, and if Bubba and NASCAR knows what is good for them, they would steer well clear of it. Despite the high minded sounding name, that organization most certainly does not support the values of of the vast majority of the NASCAR community, and if you do a little research, they don't go to any trouble to hide what they are really all about, and racial justice is just a vehicle to try to gain relevance and mainstream support. I'm sure this comment will get bounced in short order, but I'm sorry, it NEEDS to be said.

Not just because he was born with different colored skin. Because he has different colored skin and refuses to accept others' notion that inferiority is part and parcel of it.

Quite possibly your most ludicrous take ever.

The values of some of the NASCAR community could use a reboot. The Loser Flag issue is a start.

A wild prediction shot to hell.....

Yeah, trust me it sucks haha. I would love to see Bubba in a HMS ride, but sadly unless he can find a sponsor to make up for McDonald's, it just sadly does not seem to be on the table. The best he might can get is that 42 car.

Great for Bubba, I don't wear that brand but my wife does they have some nice hoodies

I would 'Like' this post 10 X if the software allowed me to.

If he can get that 42 car, that is still a big step up and a great opportunity to show his mettle!

IMO, Bubba should get the best deal he can with the team he is part owner of and fight for changes that will improve that team. Larson was the best CGR had and even he couldn't stay top 5 so I would say CGR isn't that great a move. Kurt isn't scoring much better either.
IMO, Gannassi was to fast to jump the gun on Larson and shows me that he has no loyalty. All he really had to say was "Larson is suspended until further notice."

CGR seems to be in better financial shape than RPM. Part ofwnership of RPM may come down to a percentage of the charter sale.
Didn't Gannassi lose some big sponsor dollars not long ago? I would bet he is looking after his open wheel teams more than cup.

The cash situation at RPM is picking up, I would stay there. He was complaining about having to run used parts, that's about to change. Richard gave him a shot and wants him to stick around. My opinion.....

SOME, yes. I personally refuse to believe that the overwhelming majority of NASCAR fans, NASCAR itself and those that work in the industry are inherently racist. If I believed that, I wouldn't waste my time with it. As for the Confederate flag issue, I know it's impossible for most people outside the south to comprehend, but 90% of white southerners who fly it make no connection between that damn flag and racism at all. You can disagree with its symbolism, but to dismiss the vast majority of people who fly it as being racist would be ludicrous. For most people, it's about a lifestyle, not race. Here's another flash for you, the vast majority of soldiers that fought under that flag were not fighting to preserve slavery, just as the majority of Union soldiers weren't fighting to end it.

Haven't watched a race in 3 months. This just shows how far NASCAR has fallen. You dont get rides based on talent. Its all money

Ill stick to local dirt track racing

Several months ago it was argued that this was a form of social media and most here didn't seem to agree.
-IF- this place is 'social media' (and I don't consider it to be), it's targeted at a specific subject and audience. To me, that differentiates it from the better known 'generic', advertising-funded sites, which are what I assumed you meant when you said you didn't do social media.

Definition of social media

: forms of electronic communication (such as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (such as videos)
Reinforcing the original point because a forum like this essentially blogging, we share information here from 3rd party sources, ideas, etc.

Okay, thanks. -IF- I'm going to make a statement like Formerjackman's, I'll make a point to clarify the types and sites I do and don't use. That shouldn't be hard, since I'm only here and a birding site.

This is in the same category of I've never cheated on my taxes, I didn't inhale, and I've never looked at porn as far as I am concerned. It's social media.
Cheating on single paycheck, no deduction short form hasn't seem worth my trouble. I've never tried smoking anything (or wanted to) but I thought inhaling was an inherent part of the process. Two out of three...

I just see a difference between targeted sites and general purpose ones. It's like saying 'I'm going shopping' and when the only place I'm going is the comic book store.
