From the interview that I saw, Tony said he approached NASCAR and inquired about his eligibility in the clash, and that NASCAR never got back to him with an answer. I haven't seen an article or interview that gives me the impression that Smoke is hounding NASCAR about an exemption (I am happy to be corrected.) I think this is mountains and molehills.
