Charlotte allstar fan vote

There's a lot of rumbling on reddit about getting the doggy car in. They might pull it off.

if i was a car owner i would pay

dale jr to push for my car to get the vote.

I voted for Larson, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over who wins. It's a race for the fans. If more fans want Dillon/Bowyer/Danica in the show, more power to 'em.

DP fanbase needs shook up...maybe we will do our jobs better next time

You guys think that the support of Reddit will be enough to get Wise into a better team? Would love to see Reddit to stay with Wise and give this fantastic wheelman a chance with a larger team. I mean all respect to Phil Parsons and what they do. I would like to Wise elsewhere though.

It certainly can't hurt. Without this effort he'd just be another driver unknown by most fans other than the hardcore. The Front Row #35 was and still is a dead-end; this stint with PPR is going well so far.

Something voted 80k times. No human could vote that often in that time frame, though.
And automated script, though.

Danica fans need better script kiddies next year.
The vote has been open for at least two months now. NASCAR implemented a captcha after they caught wind of the Dogecoin/reddit deal and also shut down voters for a certain period of time if you were voting at a certain rate (I would now, it happened to me a few days ago).

It's legit, certain fans are just shook.

Reddit has over 100 million subscribers. Even if members scripted the system, I have no problem believing that 80,000 different members voted.

Should we have a congratulations Joe Wise thread.

Good for Josh Wise and Phil Parsons Racing!

Reddit and Josh Wise have Danica fans dancing like puppets. It's quite funny.

Fault nascar for not making a only-vote-once rule
Yeah, the fact that they allow people to vote more than once, and via the Internet to boot, is pretty silly and essentially renders the poll illegitimate. That's why I never even bothered to vote this year - that and the fact that I didn't feel like downloading an app so that my vote could count twice as much as everyone else's.

Nobody should be able to sit at their computer for hours (whether they ran a script or not) voting someone into something 80,000 times. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that something like this didn't happen sooner - actually, it probably did and we just never heard about it. Thank God this was just an All-Star Race fan vote and not a presidential election.

I don't even care about the outcome of the poll, to be honest. The fan vote is generally a waste of a spot anyway, and the All-Star Race doesn't mean much to me. I honestly couldn't even tell you who won it last year, let alone who won it over the past few years. Seriously, I would not have remembered that Jimmie Johnson won it in 2013 had I not just looked it up.

When was the last time you sat at a personal computer to vote in a national election :confused:o_O

NASCAR set up a capatcha to counter the scripters. Josh has a legion of fans that voted him into the all-star race. It's what the fan vote was meant to demonstrate.

if you used the nascar app, 1 vote counted as 2.

I'm glad Reddit users who won't watch the race and Neck Nation are happy. Danica's good for the sport and Neck Nation will do anything to run her and her fans out of it.

Ah hell. Legitimate, not legitimate. Whatever. It won't hurt the sport. In fact, with the increased exposure, it'll probably be good for it.

Nobody who has to be voted in probably "legitimately deserves" to be in so whatever.

At least it helps a low budget team who have been busting their asses this year.

It's not the end of the world.

Some guy did a 24-hour vote session; it was live-streamed on this Web site: http://votedogecar.com/

My bet is that it was him who ultimately got to 84,000 votes.
