Charlotte allstar fan vote

Lord have mercy --- I've waded through all of this and still don't understand why people are so uptight about Josh Wise
getting voted into the race. So he's not considered a "star" -- so what? People got their act together and, for whatever reason they
had, voted him in.

He didn't wreck anyone. He didn't make any stupid/dumb/ignorant/sloppy/boneheaded, etc moves and finished the race.
:idunno:
I read that stuff and laughed my ass off. Certain Internet crews have always liked to swarm sites and cause problems and shibes are some of the worst. So I wasn't really surprised at the response of either side..

Because he wasn't their driver.

It's not about Josh wise. It's about B.France having a Nascar decision taken out of his hands for the first time in this sport's history. You know, the unintended consequences thing.

What problem have the shibes caused here? New Exposure to the sport? Nascar featured on ESPN over and over? Giving an underfunded team a $70,000 paycheck? Showing Danica that her gender & money won't but her success?

i think it's more of danica not getting the vote. even the one that don't like her were scratching their head when they announced the winner was josh wise
Just made it better for me. If ever an award is offered for driver under achievement, it is a slam dunk for Danica.

She has had premium equipment from day one in cup. She ran a pathetic 9th or 10th friday night, and most everyone thought she was going to get another perk with the fan vote.

I am glad Redditt and Wise deprived her. The best part of the weekend. No BS lucky dogs, wave arounds to save her sorry pathetic so called driving. And making those wave around laps has by far been her most consistently demonstrated skill. She has a blue moon 7th place run and the dreamers go wild, ready to ignore her constant dependence on those wave arounds or lucky dogs.

And all of the above points are only made after the third day of grieving over friday nights tragic event.
I doubt this criticism gets to stay, she is special so dont you profane the Danica. So the world just has to only say sweet things about her, lest they be perceived as one the bad people with a truth that is just to ugly.

Nobody else in cup would get such a pout party if the tables were turned. They would have just thought we should have been fast enough for P2 during the showdown (actually 21st, deducting the 19 that were already qualified).

The hate has been strong with the whole pack of you this week.

We had nothing else to hash about.
All of the Dogecoins, votes, t-shirts on the planet aren't going to make Josh fast.
You don't get it. It's not about making him fast. It's about giving him a sponsor & giving him a chance. Listen, Tony Stewart found this kid & gave him mad props. He's no S&P driver. His name is all over the sport now, it would be wise of a company to say "hey. That kid is getting exposure and he doesn't have a stable sponsor. Let's give him a stable sponsor."

It's about showing the sport that the little guys can build from the ground up. It also shows that future team owners don't have to be a Hendrick or a Gibbs to run in nascar with a sponsor. You just gotta be creative.

For all you butthurt folks, guess what all they're gonna talk about next race? Josh Wise doing the impossible & beating Danica in the fan vote. During the race "how is the underdoge doing?" Y'all best clench 'em tight.

Well, he's 31 years old and has been unable to make a name for himself solely based on his diving ability. Name the last phenom that set the NASCAR scene on fire at age 31.
Notability does not make you fast, nor will it help you win races.
Kenny Wallace is a popular, well known NASCAR driver. However, he's not well known for being a successful racecar driver.
At this point, Josh Wise is known for being the guy that got voted in by a bunch of people from a non-NASCAR related website. I'm sure he'd much rather be known for his prowess behind the wheel.

Now the people are looking at him, and if he finds a new ride, he could show it. Like I said, his timing coming into the sport wasn't so good.

I have a question for every one of you people who for some irrational reason think Danica should have been in the race over Josh Wise.....

WHY?!!

She did absolutely NOTHING to earn her way in... why do people think she should just be given a spot? If she had enough fans that cared enough and weren't too ****y to try harder to vote more... she would have been in. But they didn't, and she didn't..... Im just curious why this is even still a thing? The fact is Josh Wise's fans did more for him than Danica's did for her. Period. Danica should not have been in that race.... so she wasn't.

You may have a point with the fan vote part, but without the fan vote, Josh wouldn't be there because he's simply not Cup material.
He did get the vote to get in.

Its hard to compare two drivers in different equipment accurately.. the only difference Ive seen in their performance can easily be equipment related.
