College Football 2016

Goin' to see UT in a couple weeks when they play Ohio University, as my wife is an OU alum. We'll probably be the only ones there dressed in green, but after watching tonight's game I'm thinking the Bobcats may only lose by 3 touchdowns instead of 6.

Never count out the fighting Frank soliches

Looks like TN and South Carolina both forgot the season started tonight.

Hey now, we didn't need overtime and we were playing an SEC team on the road. TN better watch out because they sure don't look like the best team in the state right now.

A couple of pictures before the evening went to ****.

LSU needs to run an offense similar to what Arkansas ran with McFadden and Jones because their QB has no business playing QB in the FBS.

Florida looking rough.

Alabama picking up where they left off last season. Same ****, different year.

Auburn has looked better than I expected so far. Didn't expect their defense to slow Clemson down like they have.

Compared to last year, QB play and placekicking were far improved which is about all I could've hoped for last night. Seeing Spurrier back at UF as a Gator again was really cool too. Thankfully the next two weeks should allow for some more development while beating Kentucky for the 407th year in a row before the big one against UT.

USF smacked Towson pretty well, 56-20, but it's funny how that doesn't seem good enough after how much progress was made in the last year. I think we should win the AAC East but if Quinton Flowers can't throw intermediate routes consistently well we won't be able to hang with Houston. The running game looked solid though and the tempo was quick.

Yeah, Del Rio looked pretty good once he settled in. He's definitely got the ability to play QB in the SEC, unlike Harris.

I agree with you on Spurrier. It just feels right with him in Gainesville. I'm sure I'm in the minority of Tennessee fans, but I love the guy. He was a helluva coach and had the personality and character that made him fun to watch. I hope he finds some TV work to do. I'd love to see him on the SEC Network's version of Gameday. He would bring a ton of knowledge and would eat up the opportunity to get under the skin of SEC fans every week.

The QB play is just so bad in the SEC. As a buckeye fan I have to
admit it's amazing the leaps and bounds the Big 10 has taken overall the last few years. IMO I attribute a lot of this to the proliferation of turf across the Midwest in the last 10 years across local high schools and small colleges. Before then running the spread in HS was essentially impossible as November playoff games in Ohio would be a total mud fest played in 35 degree weather with a stiff breeze. Then these kids would go to Big 10 schools having little experience in running complex offenses and throwing it all over the yard. Nowadays this isn't the case

I'm getting the feeling that this game is going to be a repeat of FSU's national championship in 2014...
