College Football 2016

Holy ****** ****. That was amazing.

Games like that is why college football is the greatest sport in the world.

Also, it's awesome watching players overcome crap coaching to win ball games.

Go Blue! Yay baby!

Lol. NC beats the Seminoles.
Not a Michigan fan, but this was hilarious...

Not sure what Quick was doing. He could have easily picked up the first down if he'd have cut up field. Disappointing for Louisville.

Also, Watson just dropped an "I'm a soldier" in the post-game interview. Somewhere, Kellen Winslow, Jr. is smiling.

Even if The Vols lose the rest of the season im happy. Beating the Gators and Bulldogs in the same season.

Also I'm not naive enough to think Tn has a good chance against Bama but idc. They beat Florida ;)

At this point, we should be able to drop the next two and still make it to Atlanta, which has been the goal from the beginning of the season. If we split the next two games, we should go to Atlanta at 11-1 and playing for a spot in the CFB on the line.

I'm as excited as anybody with beating UF and UGA, but we need to keep those games in perspective. At one point, we were down 21 to a UF team with a backup QB the struggled to put up 13 against Vandy. UGA almost lost at home to an FCS team that only has one win this season. If two plays go against UGA, they are 1-4 right now. We also lucked out that there best player only had one carry against us for the second year in a row.

All that said, these players keep finding a way to win and the ball keeps bouncing our way. It seems the football gods are finally smiling on Tennessee for the first time in a decade or more. I'm interested to see how long it keeps up and I'm enjoying the ride.

Some lady on Facebook slammed Ohio State for running up the score on Rutgers. I posted back to her, what did she expect, Ohio State not to score when given the chance?

I feel kinda bad for Rutgers too but come on.
I still can't believe Rutgers is in the Big Ten. Mind-blowing.

I do feel bad for them, really bad. I don't know much about their program but I hope they can build something solid.

I also pointed out that if given the chance, Rutgers would run us up and down the field and kick our arses.

Don't feel sorry for them. I'm sure they've all been on the other side of the ass kicking at some point in their career, be it college or high school. They'll be fine.

Fun fact: Rutgers played in the first college football game in history in 1869. Now you know something about their program.

With Ohio State/Michigan sitting at #2 and #4 in the polls, and Louisville at #7/#8, I could see a team without a conference title make the playoff for the first time this year. Still a lot of football to be played but it could certainly work out that way.

They used to beat us (USF) in the Big East all the time. Granted, that was the one good decade in their program's existence. They're pretty much just there so they can put BTN in their media markets.

Yep. That was the driving force behind the majority of the conference expansion, but a lot of people don't realize that. The SEC didn't give two ****s about adding A&M and Mizzou for their programs history, status, etc. They added them to get into the Houston and St. Louis media markets.

Some decent games this weekend. LSU-Florida, Texas-OU, VT-UNC, Colorado-USC, Alabama-Arkansas, FSU-Miami, and Tennessee-Texas A&M.

I'll be interested to see if Coach O can keep the offense rolling after the showing against Mizzou. Florida State-Miami and Oklahoma-Texas are always classics.

The big question for me is can Tennessee keep the horseshoe up their ass for another week. If Garrett, Seals-Jones, and Noil are out, or less than 100%, that will be huge for Tennessee. Also, rumors around Knoxville that Kirkland could be back from injury and will play this week. We've definitely missed him running the defense. Him returning would limit the snaps that Jumper gets, which would be a very good thing.

That's when I pretty much lost all hope for this season.

Growing pains of a true freshman QB. If the o-line improves, you guys will be fine moving forward. I'm not looking forward to an Eason led UGA team for the next two years.

Yeah, it's gonna get better just right now not much hope for this season haha.

Florida-LSU "postponed indefinitely". The SEC division races just became an even bigger ****show.

What are your thoughts on the situation? It appears that LSU offered to either play the game in Gainesville on Sunday or Monday and practically rolled out the red carpet for them to play the game in Baton Rogue, including giving UF revenue from the game.

My gut is that Florida is dodging a tough game because it obviously makes their path to Atlanta easier, but that could be from my orange tinted glasses.

I'm fine with it really. LSU reportedly made the offer earlier in the week, and with how hurricane tracks are so unpredictable it would've sucked if UF gave away the game and four or five days later on Saturday everything's fine in Gainesville. I don't see it so much as spinning their wheels as others seem to view it as it is just evaluating the situation as it changes until the last possible moment. The difference in day-to-day forecasts has been pretty significant for a few major areas here in FL. As far as playing on Sunday or Monday is concerned, I heard that the SEC made the decision not to move it then, but UGA-SC has been moved to Sunday, so...:idunno: Could just be that UF didn't want to turn a home game into a road game on two or three days' notice. I would've been OK with playing in Tampa somehow, but it didn't sound like that was discussed.

I have to say I've been pretty surprised by the prevailing opinion of the LSU fan base. It's bad for LSU to lose a nonconference home game (South Alabama), but perfectly fine for Florida to lose the biggest home game of the year. It's okay for Florida to have to play three road games in a row but not for LSU to finish the regular season with three road games in a row. The city of Baton Rouge needs the game because of what LSU football does for the local economy, but apparently Gainesville doesn't. The cognitive dissonance is astounding. Not to mention these people suddenly are outraged that UF "took away their national title hopes", because they were going to go unbeaten against Florida/Arkansas/Ole Miss/A&M/Alabama after a big win against a terrible Mizzou team. If anyone has any competitive reason to worry it should be Tennessee fans.

Ultimately it's up to the league to decide if it gets made up now regardless of what the schools think. I think they will aim for playing on the 19th of next month and buy out the South Alabama/Presbyterian contracts and then use the insurance policy to make up lost revenue from LSU's cancelled game. With the conference and national title implications at stake here I think they almost have to make it up somehow. Push Atlanta back a week or something, just anything. If the CFP are willing to accommodate the Army-Navy game whenever it may affect the bowl picture I have to imagine they can adjust for moving the SECCG back a week.
