College Football 2022

It’s funny everyone likes talking crap about the PAC-10 when the ACC is mediocre sometimes to me.

Maybe a good spot for Cal & Stanford if ORE-WASH leave?

This week's CFP rankings

1. Georgia (9-0). Obvious
2. Tennessee (8-1). Quality ESS EE CEE loss
3. Bama (7-2). Two quality SEC losses
4. LSU (7-2). Quality SEC loss but also a shameful loss to an ACC team so they have to be behind Bama
5. Ole Miss (8-1). Quality loss to a team with two quality losses. Almost like having 3 quality losses
6. Ohio State: SEC like speed

Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan will be a pretty clear top three on Tuesday. After that the rankings should be really interesting. I was joking earlier about the all-SEC top four but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see

4) Tennessee
5) LSU
6) TCU
7) Oregon
8) USC*
9) Ole Miss
10) Alabama
11) UCLA*
12) Clemson

*In progress

LSU was ranked so high to start a 1:1 swap with Alabama would make sense.

I’d love to see an SEC team play in 40 mph winds all day like Ohio State did today. It’s not always 74 and sunny in the B1G Ten.

I’m honestly not sure Clemson can get in at 12-1 with a loss this poor, their only ranked game left would likely be UNC if it happens.

SEC CFP doomsday looms large.
I think Clemson national championship hopes are done or they should be, imo they are not a top 4 team. I don't think the ACC is that strong and you almost always need to go undefeated during any season to get one of the four playoff spots.

Should be different with the playoff expansion. I have to admit that I could probably be called an SEC fan or at least one that believes they are usually the toughest conference. But I have never cared much for them getting 2 of the 4 playoff spots every year and it is very limited to so many others.

I wish they would expand the playoffs before 2026. It will most likely include more SEC teams but it will at least open it up for teams outdside of the SEC to win it on the feild.

Got to love a guy that takes out his coach then gets up to celebrate his greatness.
Didnt even look back once to check his own HEAD COACH!

I can definitely see a playoff where it’s Georgia, Ohio State/Michigan, and two teams Georgia already beat (Oregon + Tennessee).

The regular season has always been the playoff.

I feel really confident Georgia could repeat. But those playoffs aren’t going to be a cake walk. Hoping they haven’t shown their full hand yet, and just rock the **** out come playoff time

I don't miss 78 pointless bowls with even less of the chosen few ever having a chance to win it all.
College football schedules are so funky and quirky there is no way for some group of elders to decide and pick the privileged two of four and get it right on a consistent basis.

Give me a lot of teams going head to head and settling it in the feild.

Yeah, from what I’ve checked these teams have already played six games among each other with another four set over the final four weeks.

Expand this to the first three bubble teams out (UCLA, Utah, Penn State) the fifteen playoff contenders have played themselves eleven times with another six games remaining.

Imo I just see too much potential to dilute the impact of regular season games. 12 is gonna be overkill.

Clemson would actually be the #5 seed as it would be 6 conference champs and then the At-Large teams.

Top 6 at the moment…
1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
4. TCU
6. Oregon
10. Clemson
17. Tulane

At Large teams…
3. Michigan
5. Tennessee
7. LSU
8. Alabama
9. USC
11. Ole Miss

More midweek games this week.

Also the new C-USA signed a TV deal with CBSSN & ESPN networks for ALL midweek October games in 2023.

That's awesome news. It's so hard to watch everything on Saturday
