Dude might make me eat my words. I don't like him one bit but it's impressive to win on a road course first time out.

I liked it, I mean when it becomes a habit to start winning that way it's a problem, but when it's your first win or something you hardly ever do well I say fair game.

He sure was showing a lot of talent right up to the end there. The rest, IDK.

Sometimes you got to do what you got to do to win, hopefully he gets a few wins that aren't like that to show he can do it, but I mean I probably do the same thing for my first win.

3 out of 5 drivers will rough/wreck you for the win at any given race. Fact.

Specially when its the last corner of teh last lap.

Some of you are making it sound like he committed a crime. He did his job.

Back in the day this was sort of like a right of passage.

Have to look at the whole situation though. Elliott is only racing a handful of races this year. Ty is running for the championship. Now you can say Ty should of been smarter and not raced that hard if he was racing for points but it is what it is. I think it would of been a different story if Chase would of followed him into the corner and tried to bump him out of the way but that was pretty much a dive bomb. I personally wouldn't want to win my first like that but to each their own.

The only problem I had with it was the points hit the 3 took. BUT Ty was warned by the CC to let him go. Woulda left with second and a smile.

Congrats Chase Elliott.

Those two made a race out of it, they weren't having any aero, clean air, going to fast to race B.S...Fender to fender for the last lap and into deadman's curve. I wish both would have made it thru there, but so be it Elliott this time. Maybe Dillon makes it next time. The cup boys are going to have to out do themselves to top this race.

He got the trophy, last time I checked that's what racing is all about. At least he didn't sissy out like some drivers and some fans are okay with these days. Way to go Chase!!!

I guess none of you guys have ever been to a local short track race. What happened today on the last lap of this truck race is how all this NASCAR stuff started. I wish all the NASCAR races were this exciting.

Sometimes I feel like I'm older than I actually am and trust me I'm not. :D

I cannot be the only one who remembers how it really used to be!

And fortunately it evolved over the years. No doubt, the racing was good. The last corner wasn't racing. I know that there are many of you out there that like that sort of thing. There are also many of us that like to see racing for the win too. I will say that it was a great thing for the Truck Series though. People will be talking. Maybe more will tune in next week and then FS1 is breaking Speeds old ratings. Oops, sorry, that was one of six other threads. ;)

Congratulations*

Maybe those two will start a rivalry and carry it up through the ranks.

Plue one.

Just all out hard racing with no Bs.

Congrats to Chase Elliott and his team!!!

Since Chase has lost Aarons next year a win sure is going to look good on his resume. I cant imagine someone not stepping up and sponsoring this young man. I honestly think he is the real deal. I am just thrilled with the win today.

Yeah on a larger scale..young Ty has big money behind him and sponsor opportunities. Elliott is looking at nothing on the horizon, he is racing for blood. I like that kid, he went for it.

He won dirty. He completely turned Elliott around, not a good way to win.

All these drivers bitch about getting turned but except for Kahne, they'd all do the sane thing for the win. Hell, Dale would have said great job by Chase lol

Furthermore, I cant be to mad when Chase had one of the best trucks

One of many wins for young Elliott

When the CC is ashamed of the way the driver won the race then the driver needs a physical attitude adjustment, In My Opinion.

Agreed. You could tell Lance was real upset about it.

What did Elliott have to say about winning it that way?

Also, watching the replay, Elliott was already inside the 3 when Dillon turned into the corner. Ty should not have let the 94 inside him coming to the turn. Like I said before, racing deal. JMO.

How so? The inside line is not the racing line. You're not suppose to drive into the corner straight like that because as we saw you can't get stopped. They all arc the entry of the corner so the car will turn. Elliott took a straight path to the corner.

He knew he was wrong and turned Ty on purpose or he would not have apologized several times for Winning Like That, That's Not How I race But A Win Is A Win.

Bull spit, Crew chief is just an employee with an opinion so what. Driver with a sponsor that liked the move has the hammer.

The Canadians got the show this weekend. Hope the trucks go back there..hell of a road course.

Brad's spotter pretty much summed up my thoughts on it.

"I don't race that way"...When you just RACED THAT WAY!!!#NASCAR

Racers appreciate a good "bump and run"...not a BOOM WRECK I WIN.!! YOU FINISH LAST. Huge difference. 1 of them takes talent#NASCAR

Say what you will but Chase is the youngest driver ever to win a truck race and by a pretty good ways. The cup boys wont top this race tonight. How can they? A last turn pass (wreck) and then Papis gets slapped by a chick. How can you top that?
