When this show started, TLC officially went from "The Learning Channel" to the "Tubba Lard Channel"I just Googled it. Leave it to TLC to make a show about that.

Let's be very careful here and not let this become political talk. There is a similar thread in The Podium if you want to politicize it.
Personally, the NRA sponsorship is a business deal. The NRA did NOT pay for "enhanced" coverage from FOX, did not buy any advertising. And beyond the required 1 mention per hour, I doubt anyone will be offended.
This is a race.
The way I see it --- the NRA is promoting the race, not the other way around.
True, but the NRA wouldn't be promoting the race if there wasn't some exposure in it for them, as with any other race sponsor. The way I see it --- the NRA is promoting the race, not the other way around.
Pathetic.ESPN said that sources confirmed to the outlet that two drivers have been advised by their PR people not to conduct interviews in the Texas Motor Speedway media center in order to avoid the NRA logo from appearing behind them.
The move is just the latest in media hysteria that has resulted from the NRA sponsoring Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint Cup race, the NRA 500.

At least the Tiger Woods penalty at The Masters and Kobe Bryant's injury have diverted ESPN's attention away from this somewhat.ESPN is trying their hardest to make it a story. Everyone has a political agenda. The world we live in....
And the comments were too. Does Matthew know anything about the NRA other than the Liberals are using them as scapegoats because they don't have any clear answers. Does he have any clue who makes up the NRA other than what the Liberal Network has been feeding him? Sorry TRL I know this is not the podium, but it looks like it is heading that way. This is podium trash.
This is podium trash.
He should be forced to only be allowed to post in the podium.Everyone has pretty much been behaving on this thread because we dont want it to go to the podium and TRL asked us to be civil, but no, matt has to blow it again. And I for one think you should be booted out for awhile.
YEP.He should be forced to only be allowed to post in the podium.

No idea. They may have to finish in the Top 3 or whatever number of positions it is that's required to talk to the media afterwards for us to find out.Anybody know which two drivers they are talking about?
I think its the top 5.No idea. They may have to finish in the Top 3 or whatever number of positions it is that's required to talk to the media afterwards for us to find out.
Thank you again, have a good race.Did a little housekeeping. I appreciate you letting me know about the objectionable post. I did remove it from some of you who quoted it.
Thanks, again.
Blaze88, neither do I. The only race I really know the name of --- the Coca Cola 600. All the rest --- meh.
For me its the snowball derby, dont know the nascar ones even though I go to a lot of'em.Blaze88, neither do I. The only race I really know the name of --- the Coca Cola 600. All the rest --- meh.
