That's actually used to load the car onto the trailer.

They use that to steer the car as they're loading it into the hauler. Not enough room to stand next to the car while you're loading it, and once it's in the hauler, you ain't getting in and out of the car.

Yep, they are a pain to get loaded on a good day even worse when wrecked lol
