400km and 500km races.Idk, I don’t think it’s bad. The outcome is still very much in doubt, 400 miles at Dover is just a bit of a slog. Seems like there’s been decent passing throughout the field beyond top two.

I've seen worse Dover races for sure.Idk, I don’t think it’s bad. The outcome is still very much in doubt, 400 miles at Dover is just a bit of a slog. Seems like there’s been decent passing throughout the field beyond top two.
They’re always going to engineer their way into bad racing.
But with less horsepower, handling isn’t as important.
COT was ugly af but it did race well in retrospect.COT was hit or miss but was much better than Gen-6 and this ****.
Because Chase was on pit road. At this point even I can't tell if I'm being sarcastic.LOLOLOL HOW DO YOU NOT THROW A CAUTION THERE?

At this point I'd do it tomorrow. He has shown zero promise or progress.Big kudos for keeping it green.
And WBR needs to get rid of Harrison after this season.

Even at its worst, the COT had tracks it was excellent at. Same with Gen-6.It wasn’t that bad by 2011-2012. Its first iteration was ugly as sin though.
I mean they all have spotters, they're at reduced speed when they come to pit road and 34 of the other 35 drivers should be intelligent enough to avoid that car.LOLOLOL HOW DO YOU NOT THROW A CAUTION THERE?
Horsepower would help.I was able to talk at length with an engineer from a prominent Cup team last week. During the discussion, he said that this new car is a total POS as far as being able to do anything to help it. He said you unload with what you unload with based on sim programs, and there's next to NOTHING you can do to help it. If you start off out to lunch, the weekend is lost because you're pretty much out to lunch. They can't experiment and take huge swings like they could with previous gens. The whole "it's saving teams money to be uniform" is opposite of what's happening, because the big boys are spending like hell to find the tiniest edge since everyone is in the same box.
TLDR; the engineers hate this car because there's no adjustability in a weekend. If you suck on Friday, your whole weekend is blow because there's nothing you can do.
I mean i have to agree. Ypu used to be able to be a%# off the truck and adjust and be competative. Just seems like thats not the case anymoreTLDR; the engineers hate this car because there's no adjustability in a weekend. Harrison is a good driver and good kid.Burtons an absolute scrub. At least Dibenenenenenenedetto was competitive in that car. Needs somebody else in there.
Im gonna walk this back just a bit cus hes only 22, but he doesn't deserve a cup ride right now and should still be marinating in Xfinity.Burtons an absolute scrub.
See above.. hahaHarrison is a good driver and good kid.
This just isn’t clicking. He probably needs to go back to Xfinity like JHN did.
JHN was constantly wrecking in Cup too. Now he looks like the Second Coming in Xfinity.
Ding Ding Ding!!!!! Exactly what he said. They need the ability to break the car loose with power to create more off throttle time and more delta between the haves and have nots.Horsepower would help.
Good drivers can excel with throttle control and talent. But now it’s about shifting.
Plus it adds to the tire wear. In late models, it’s common for guys to take lower horsepower crate motors to Jacksonville (and Myrtle Beach before it) because they could run harder without using up tires.
Less horsepower really does hurt racing.
COTA wasn’t to bad tbh. At least til the end and that was more to do with everyone driving dumb than the car.Even at its worst, the COT had tracks it was excellent at. Same with Gen-6.
So far, this car has not worked anywhere this year.
Did this conversation occur before or after you gave him the gas?I was able to talk at length with an engineer from a prominent Cup team last week. Why? It's better than a straight commercial.Stop with the split screen.
What's the issue with that now?Stop with the split screen.
Darrell Waltrip said it during the horsepower reduction era, you lose and gain time in the corners. But everyone was running equal speeds in the corners so you couldn’t gain anything. When you’re wide open, you can only lose time.Ding Ding Ding!!!!! Exactly what he said. They need the ability to break the car loose with power to create more off throttle time and more delta between the haves and have nots.
Had an engine builder for the 9 (Evernham) car say that they won Indy with like 20 or more less horse than the others and it was an advantage because Bill could be more aggressive with throttle. Less wheel spin, etc. I wish I could remember the exact number he told me they were off after NASCAR dynoed the engine, but it was very significant. It may have been 30-40, but that seems insane to me.
Nothing major, just not quick enough. What happened to Byron? I haven’t been able to watch
He was numb, but no gas.Did this conversation occur before or after you gave him the gas?
