Regular season champion is still the corniest thing ever
It’s like participation trophies, it means very little. There's a trophy for "regular season" champion? What a joke.
Nah I would too, probably would throw it in the trash, means nothingIs it me, or does Kyle look like he is faking his excitement for being the "regular season champ"
Not a bash on Kyle.
He knows that it means nothing if he crashes out the first race in the chase, and can’t catch up.Is it me, or does Kyle look like he is faking his excitement for being the "regular season champ"

Yeah he choked the last 2 starts away. Not the first time he's done that this year either. The outside cars including the 9 received smashed up front ends thanks to Clint Bowyer.
Agreed, he isn’t ARCA material and Landon Cassil is a Truck or Xfin driver at best.Sorry, but Jeffery Earnhardt has no business being in Cup. Say what you will about his uncle, at least his uncle had TALENT. The only reason Jeffery even got a Cup ride is due to his last name

From no wins to two crown jewels in a row.
Respect.
I don’t believe Brad will win another race this year.Brad is more “the closer” these days then Kevin.
In reality, you could take the top 30 and cut it off in the monster cup series, and you would have better racesAgreed, he isn’t ARCA material and Landon Cassil is a Truck or Xfin driver at best.
I’ll go one better and say top 20.In reality, you could take the top 30 and cut it off in the monster cup series, and you would have better races

Care to make that one a wager?I don’t believe Brad will win another race this year.
True.IMO, it's more meaningful than the ridiculous playoff championship.
At least the "regular season championship" means you were the best driver of the first 26 races.
The actual playoff championship means you were the luckiest driver of the last 10 races.
I’ll go one better and say top 20.[/QUOT
Care to make that one a wager?I’ll go one step further and say get rid of the chase altogetherI’ll go one better and say top 20.
Valid point, you had to be best for 26 races.IMO, it's more meaningful than the ridiculous playoff championship.

Unpopular opinion , but he made valid pointsI’m no fan of Denny, but I actually liked what he said. A Brickyard 400 win means a lot more than stupid points in a playoff circus. Wish more drivers would answer honestly when the blabbering monkeys ask them about their “championship hopes”.

Could be the Yoters spent a million or two getting a couple of HP more out of the power steering pump. They used their not spent pit gun budget moneyWhere is Gibbs getting their steering boxes?, the same places RPM and FRR got their brakes from ?
good point. The announcers are on another planet. Paul Wolfe did the same thing when he was interviewed.I’m no fan of Denny, but I actually liked what he said. A Brickyard 400 win means a lot more than stupid points in a playoff circus.

I’m a bold kinda dudeBold considering he just won two in a row.
Agreed. It should be merit based. You have to win multiple races, or a championship in a previous series just to be considered.Cup Series should be the best of the best. Merit based. Jeffrey Earnhardt couldn’t get hired as a tire changer but someone keeps putting him in a Cup car. I seriously wouldn’t mind seeing a 20 car field if it keeps the demolition derby hacks from affecting the outcome of a Cup race. Last week we saw drivers complaining about guys like the 99 running 20mph off the pace up in the racing groove.
They don't have the speed as the SHR Fords IMO, but Kez and Wolfe make up a whole lot.Bold considering he just won two in a row.
never happen, racing isn't structured that wayAgreed. It should be merit based. You have to win multiple races, or a championship in a previous series just to be considered.
It would be fun, but I’m not going to explain to the wife, how I lost on, what I know she would consider a stupid bet.Loser donates $100 to the website.

And before you kid me, I still have to live with her.
