The Roush organization allowed them to take the gloves off and let the cards fall where they may. He does not have to follow Stenhouse anymore.

Unless Kenseth is leading the last lap and Stenhouse is in second....notice how he backed off to allow Stenhouse to stay on the lead lap???

The team has been improving bit by bit, I think that's what they need. Slow and steady improvements.

To be fair, Matt was at Roush when it was a top team, and then at Gibbs. Ricky never really had what would be a “top ride” gotta be on a good team to have good finishes. Clint is a good example of that. Finally on a great team and is doing a lot better than he ever has.

Ricky is a mediocre Cup guy. He’s as fast as he’ll ever be. Mid pack driver, IMO, regardless of what you put him in.

Maybe so, but I just don’t think it’s fair to compare people who have had better cars to someone who hasn’t.

Again I’m not debating that. I’m just saying Matt’s wins came when Roush was a top team and when he was at Gibbs. Doubt if Roush was what it is now back then he gets all them wins. If Ricky was around back when the team was good, who knows how he would’ve done. Not saying Ricky is a great driver, just hard to compare.
