The rule is that Hamlin should stop-and-go at the specified area at turn 12. How do you know he didn't do that? You can't tell from the NBC broadcast.
What earlier infraction are you talking about? Serious question. I have the recording, and am interested to review what happened.

My Bottom Line Conclusion: I've always eagerly anticipated the Brickyard 400, always regarded it as one of the most intriguing races of the year. I hope the race returns to the oval ASAP. I also love roadracing... including rovals... but the funnel effect of turn 1 needs a solution. The problem is not the officiating, it's the driving. Just my opinion.
