Cup RACE thread --- Kansas

="SeventyGTX, post: 1255849, member: 8572] I would hate to see the 48 handed another one because someone does a bonehead move like Nascar did at Homestead last year.

:fixed:

Nonsense. There is no major televised sport or event whose announcers would not reference the man’s death.
Yea remember when Brett Favre’s father passed away, and he threw 4 TD’s on MNF, that was the main storyline

It’s the “human interest” aspect of broadcast journalism, like it or not.

First time people ever cheered for him.

Brad Keselowski leads 300+ laps, has 0.3 on everyone. 48 runs 3-5 the entire race, but gets those fresh tires and got it done in 20 laps.

Brad was in shock in the post race interview, his hands were literally shaking, I remember. That's Jimmie Johnson, Bruh.
I wonder how MTJ will deal with that Jimmie when it’s money time.

The team was out playing at a go kart track where he had his attack. I mean really, they are supposed to ignore that. Many crew members were at the hospital probably half the night..gees some people need a good ass whopping

IF people still can’t come to grips that Truex is a great race car driver, there’s plenty of other sporting events to watch on sundays that you might be able to comprehend. Also, awesome run by Chris Buescher coming home in 6th

There it is! Was wondering when you'd remind us again

Sometimes I prefer Golf

I sure must be nice live so miserably....change your perspective change your attitude dude. Life is much better when you do.

Good job 78 team they deserve this championship.

Good job Fords for running better. And they have a chance at homested if they make it.

Too bad for Larson. He will have plenty of chances though.

When will the teams figure out the rules ?

Honestly I could be completely wrong on this but I swear the drivers don't even pay attention in the drivers meeting because this happens all the time where they get angry because NASCAR says this or that but they say they covered in the driver's meeting sometimes these guys kind of live on a cloud take things for granted

Some of the guys that are being impacted by not knowing the rules have been around for a long long time ....... look at what happened to Kenseth.

I think somebody's losing their job over that deal because ratcliff on the radio said he sent six over and somebody can't count

I saw the dude go over the wall ...... he knew he messed up and went back to the wall ... only to be called over by another crew member. Pretty sure that they knew there would be a penalty but nobody seemed to understand that they would be pulled from the race. 7 went over the wall for the 48 but one only pulled a rear off ......... apparently servicing the driver is legal.

Can someone explain why the 4 car wasn't penalized for dipping below the line? I missed whatever the explanation was on that. Thanks!

Leader establishes the lane on the restart. Truex changed lanes and went low so that far established the inside lane. Or something along those lines.

Who is in charge of this "counting?" I think it's the CC, right?

Frankly, I am uncomfortable with the term, "servicing the driver." :D

I don't think the team can give him the car to work his magic this year, there seems to be a bit of fustration like 2011. But if they do, he'll handle that Jimmie like Carl, Brad, Tony, KB, Larson or like anyone else would..by getting out drove lolol
