Cup RACE thread --- Kentucky

Yes it has , so you are saying that purpose built tube chassis can be compared to a street car?

NASCAR has not ran a production cars since sometime I believe in the 70's, that is when they started switching over over to purpose built tube chassis, that is no longer a "stock car " at that point. Sure, the bodies were production, but those were panels on a purpose built chassis, and even those body panels were massage and change to fit templates back then.

Are you really trying to tell me that the twisted sisters cars of the pre COT days were comparable to the street cars? :XXROFL::XXROFL::XXROFL:
Yea you could go into your showroom in the 80’s and buy the same exact Chevy Earnhardt used that weekend to wreck Darrell Waltrip. Drive right out of the showroom onto the street. #OneToughCustomer

You are missing the point. The common template is what I am referring to.I realize the chassis had to change<i am talking bodies only.

Years like this, make me wish, we didn't have a playoffs, since this would be a season long 3 way championship battle. Now there is a chance that none of the Big 3 would win the Championship, and that an undeserving 4th driver could win the title on a flukey rain shortened race win. Seriously, it's so asinine. Cut the manufactured drama, and go back to a traditional championship format (or the original Chase format, which had only the top ten in points make it in), NASCAR!

Whew Larson 3 wide with Logano and Clint. Whew boy. Good to see the 41run in the top 10. Please win soon Kurt.

Martin Thanos Jr has shown up tonight.
