Same excited both Brad and Chase are in the Final Four but Harvick deserves to win the chip more then anyone in years.

To some of the experts here, they had a cake walk back in the day to win the championships.

Different generations, but for how Harvick has been this season for him to be out absolutely sucks. Like he said, its broken down into three races at a time and you have to perform each set of races. Kudos to Harvick for being composed, but at the same time its disappointing to see this result.

Jubilation or disgust, I'll be watching next Sunday. Hopefully, I will be able to get home in time to watch the race.

I don’t even like Harvick but car/ driver/crew were dialed in and the NASCAR rules now say ‘lol timing’.

The only real suspense is how they’ll find a way to make it even worse in the future.

Chase dented the roof pretty badly, I wonder if that is gonna get them in post inspection.

By their standards, they are overdue for the next set of 'enhancements' to make it more convoluted.

They can't give the "regular season champion" an automatic berth, because then the odds-on favorite spends nine weeks with nothing to gain or lose.

I figure they may make wins worth 10 playoff points instead of 5, giving a driver like 2020 Harvick even more of a cushion to survive the silly little 3-race mini-seasons.

Having concern about Harvick at Martinsville was legit. I knew he'd have to run really good there and he never really burns it up there. So a choke was possible. Hamlin on the other hand, WTF? How many grandfather clocks does he have? He ain't gonna be a champion. This is Chase Elliot's to lose.

Yeah he and Alan are sneaky good there, they just need to avoid the crappy luck of the last few seasons.

You're trying to assume here that they are going to run exactly the same under different formats and I've heard it hashed out enough that's just not remotely credible to think that. Disagree all you want but the fact is they're not going to run the same strategy in a "win your in" versus an old time "we had a good points day" .
 
These drivers need to grow some sand and all come out bashing the format in unison, or it will never change. If Kyle Busch, Harvick, and say Chase or Logano all threatened to retire If NASCAR doesn’t get there **** together I doubt NASCAR would let them all walk.
 
The sport will go on without them. Aint gonna matter. Harvick has no-one to blame but himself and his team. They choked.

Sucks for Harvick. But the format is what it is. It sucks. The team choked. Blew 60 points?

Hopefully Brad can pull this one out. It may be Chase, but hoping Brad

Actually Jones just found out that it can be very tough to get a job in a top cup car.
Best he did what he did and maybe get rewarded down the road. He won't be the first driver Denny hired from the 43 ride.

Wouldn’t mind seeing that at all and Harvick is definitely good enough at Phoenix to do it, but I don’t know if NASCAR would allow that to happen. I don’t think it’s just coincidence that a Championship race has never been won by anyone outside the Championship 4.
