I know Harvick’s poor performance is looming large today, but ultimately his decision not to get rough with Joey at Kansas cost him here. He could have easily ran in hard and nudged the 22, but instead played it full Indycar style and lost.

That’s why I was not so upset that he could not pass, you see similar blocking in Indycar all the time. Even with more HP it would not have mattered, there still would be dirty air on the nose in the corner
 
And a penalty on the 9. There’s the NASCAR I know and love

If NASCAR would release their rule book or even make rules clear, there wouldnt be as many black helicopter moments. It’s obvious that the jackman understood the rule about getting back to pit wall before servicing the wall and made a huge heads up move. Big credit to Alan and his training to make everyone hyper aware of the little details.

Do the NASCAR officials have a yellow flag they can throw onto pit road like what happens in football?

I think that would make our sport more popular next year if we do penalties that way
