Cup RACE thread --- Talladega, Rd. 2

In his defense, he's explaining it to the casual viewers. It's a production decision. I don't get why the networks feel they need to continue doing it, but they do. If I turn on a basketball game, nobody explains squat to me.
I don’t get why they feel the need to explain to casual viewers, they left about 8 years ago

"People at home are asking 'why are they so close together?' " Oh my.....

Watching a split screen of Kevin Harvick and 8 cars was a waste of time. Did NBC need to get the Busch emblem on screen due to an advertising agreement or something? Also, the camera angle from the 17 car's rear that allowed us to see the word FUSION on the grill of the car behind him was just stunning. Man, I hope that director gets an Emmy for his/her work on this race.

You're still here every week ;)
I’m not going anywhere either, my preference for favorite auto racing series to watch might Change though but that’s irrelevant to this thread.

Chase is saying the 19 is really loose (sideways to be exact). I assume coming off the corner. Said he could be a problem later on.

Every week the broadcast treats its viewers like morons.

"Now that the ball has crossed the plane of the endzone, the team has scored points"

I guess is better than them trying to convince people Stenhouse is a household name now.

They spent the entire week, wait, the entire time between July Daytona and today doing that that ( both networks)

NASCAR really needs to look into how long a caution takes. This is like watching paint dry. Maybe we could give out more penalties too. Is that what they think drives ratings?

Like penalizing the guy who is in his last race at the track that the fans sold the place out to see. That equals $$$$
