Cup RACE thread --- Watkins Glen

Just admit for once that Larson has a habit of falling out of the seat despite his godlike talent
I've said it in every comment that he drove into turn 1 too deep and lost control of the car.

I've said all year that Larson is mistake prone and has bad issues executing. Let's not dismiss that because I'm not phrasing it in the preferred way.

He got a good enough restart and Elliott got bad enough of a restart that he probably could have cleared him without locking it up. But both HMS guys were afraid of the 22 and 16, and Kyle chose to ask Jesus to take the wheel. Inconsiderate and reckless to race that way with a teammate? Sure. Yeah.

How? Larson was locked up, Chase got fully used.

Indeed. It was telling and appropriate that Larson said twice that he wasn't proud of it. He knows what car control is, and that winning due to a lack of it is hardly impressive.

Just an observer here, I don't have a dog in the fight, and would have rather Dinger found a way to take them both to school.

7 ringers. 6 wind up 30th or worse. This is why I don't expect much of drivers from other forms of racing. The records show they don't finish well.
Except Dan Gurney

Larson made a slightly dirty move but Elliott didn’t get junked like Logano did at Bristol 2020 or Blaney in Canada in 201?

Oh right, Chase would never.
Elliott picked the wrong lane using 20/20 hindsight. Larson said the same thing. He should know, he got booted enough yesterday..and that was the inside lane Byron was in all day long in Xfinity, the inside lane

Folks here are okay with driving like that, when they don’t like the driver it happens to. But are up in arms when someone they don’t like does it. It’s ridiculous.
Calm down man it's just racing!

Congrats to Kyle Larson. That was a good finish.

I haven't been feeling well this afternoon, and Jeff Burton almost made me turn the race off when he started SCREAMING about the car that spun into the gravel or with around 9 laps to go. I was like

I liked both Kyle's and Chase's post-race interviews. Kyle owned up to The Move, and Chase took the high road. As for my thoughts on The Move, check my sig. 👇

Nah, all I've read all year long is how Daniels is effing Larson over. I love ya @jaqua19 and I truly appreciate your fandom. Let's agree to disagree, and when the 9 ships him after this and Cali not a word, huh?

See I’m fine with you being okay with the move, because you always have the same attitude no matter who it is. That’s all I ask is people be the same no matter what.

Cliff has made quite a few race calling errors. As for Larson? Overdriving, poor communication/car diagnosing, confidence, mentally falling out of the seat..there are all areas I've been very critical of this year, and even in this very thread throughout the race. But we can agree to disagree on that!

And when Chase dumps him, I can guarantee you that you wont see me bitching and moaning about it and will call it how it is. And you know what? I know damn well you know this ;)

Unless you're suggesting that Larson will cry about it to the media about..in that case, yeah I'll admit being wrong on that one.
