Same mill, different chassis'you're kidding right, no one would believe they get the same engines.
didn't Gibbs already dump Chevy and Pontiac, what's so hard to believe they would dump Toyota? If they do jump the Toyota ship, it will be a huge shock and a huge blow to Toyota. MWR is good but not top team good. I enjoy Toyota in NASCAR and really hope they stick it out with Gibbs.
Suppose that Edwards may be going to JGR with Ford's blessing because JGR is switching to Ford and in partnership with RFR?
It is also possible that Sadler is going to be cut lose for Wallace to take over that ride?

Ford said good-bye to Carl.
You're really stirred about this, aren't you?JGR is at the 2015 test in Michigan with Toyota. Just sayin'...... TRD wouldn't let them do that unless they were going to be there I wouldn't think.

That's what I'm afraid of. It pretty much did Pontiac in when JGR went back to Chevy after 2002 (although the brand itself disappeared a few years later). I think Ricky Craven was Pontiac's main guy in 2003, and they left NASCAR after that season. Like I said in an earlier post, I don't know if MWR alone is enough.didn't Gibbs already dump Chevy and Pontiac, what's so hard to believe they would dump Toyota?

Gibbs went to Chevy a year earlier though.GM pulled Pontiac out of Nascar.
that was after Gibbs switch to Chevy in 2003.GM pulled Pontiac out of Nascar.

If JGR left Toyota, it would be a shock. Huge. We shall see.
It was a long time ago.I stand corrected
@SiriusXMNASCAR
@JoeGibbsRacing to have "unprecedented announcement" Tuesday at 10AM ET with "impact across four #NASCAR racing series". Listen LIVE here.
Sounds like a manufacture change to me
It was a long time ago.
Not sure why he was complaining: he won the championship the last season Gibbs ran Pontiacs.I remember Stewart complaining about the Pontiac package but forgot that they stayed in Nascar another year.
Hmm, never thought of that. Would be interesting to see how that works out for them.Engines possibly. Start building in house again.
GM pulled Pontiac out of Nascar.
No one would believe Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne run the same engines either.you're kidding right, no one would believe they get the same engines.
After Gibbs jumped ship. Gibbs actually built the new 2003 body style for the Grand Prix, and then decided late in 2012 to jump ship to Chevy. After that Pontiac stayed put for one more year before GM pulled the plug.
Bingo. I bet that's it.I just figured it out. JGR is buying KBM. They say the announcement affects 4 nascar racing series. Well JGR doesn't technically have a Truck team, other than the equipment they provide KBM. So possibly announcing the Carl deal, Suarez and Bubba to NWS, buy KBM, and something to do with a lower series.
i was joking. I know that yates builds all the ford engines.kahne doesn't have the same drive/desire that the 24 and the 48 have.No one would believe Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne run the same engines either.
The 88 ain't have a bad year either. Really makes the 5 stand out, to be honest.i was joking. I know that yates builds all the ford engines.kahne doesn't have the same drive/desire that the 24 and the 48 have.
Why would KBM sell a successful gig?I just figured it out. JGR is buying KBM. They say the announcement affects 4 nascar racing series. Junior went through that a few years ago too. 2009 was probably the biggest example. Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin, and Jeff Gordon finished 1-2-3 in points. Junior finished 25th.The 88 ain't have a bad year either. Really makes the 5 stand out, to be honest.
Kevin did it with RCR.Why would KBM sell a successful gig?
Probably too expensive to run without sponsorships, they've also laid off a bunch of employees lately. Why would KBM sell a successful gig?
KHI wasn't so successful.Kevin did it with RCR.
Yeah, already closed up the Nationwide program and seem to run almost exclusively ToyotaCare sponsorship like RFR with EcoBoost.Probably too expensive to run without sponsorships, they've also laid off a bunch of employees lately.
that would suck if such a successful race team would have to sell out and the owner make all that money, while others our getting laid off.KHI wasn't so successful.
