Hey, it's another driver to blame when KyKy doesn't win :)

I am in no way in favour of this move but I will say that if/when Gibbs get these cars figured out, that is going to be one formidable team.

I think it may even be the reason that Gordo is contemplating retirement.

Gibbs is desperate for a cup, he will do anything to get it. Matty didnt get it done so now Edwards will be tasked with the challenge. Some of the JGR drivers will suffer because of this IMO

how's that going to work? Edwards has never won. Gibbs won when he had Chevy's and Stewart combination. Gibbs drivers are already suffering...all the way to the bank.

Adding another "golden boy" wont stop the bleeding................... just my opinion of course, we will have to wait and see what happens
 
oh yeah I see your point alright, I don't see any of them suffering, and Carl is always going to land on his feet, he knows how to stay in the spotlight and not get dirty which probably attracted Gibbs. Everybody else had a full roster also, Gibbs going to a forth team in this economy won't make the team any stronger I wouldn't think, sure didn't help Steward Haas. Penske, Childress, and Ganassi aren't expanding.
 
Gibbs need look no further than last weekend if wants to know why one of his drivers has not brought him a Cup, although I suspect Truex will get the blame for that mess.

I am hating on him racing in the lower divisions. Because it's pathetic and its the reason why he will never win anything but individual races.

It has nothing to do with him forming racing teams in lower levels. Good for him. It's nice to see him give young guys rides in NCWTS and the NNS. But that doesn't mean he has to ride in those series.

It could still be something strictly related to driver lineups. Something like:

- Carl Edwards to Cup
- Darrell Wallace Jr. to Nationwide
- Daniel Suarez to Truck
- Cody Coughlin to K&N East

Hearing a lot of speculation about manufacturer changes. Normally, I wouldn't give a **** because it's all Facebook quality stuff, but I did notice that both Clint and Denny were unusually frustrated with the motors. I mean...big time. Don't want to start gossip crap, but I am nervous. Wondering if this is more than just Carl and Suarez.....Need Tuesday to get here. I want to stress that there are no credible sources to cite on this. Just a feeling.....

As much as I'd like to see Carl in a Ford, I definitely don't want Toyota to go away!

I don't believe that Toyota will go away. They love NASCAR, and have benefitted hugely. However, ALL of the momentum that they had gained in recent years was due to the relationship they have with JGR. Losing JGR would put them back to the Red Bull years--maybe worse. Wondering if JGR might take their engine program back in house with TRD support--the original plan.

Yeah, I was a little late on that---head in sand....or up ass, I suppose. What I listened to today from Denny and Clint has me worried. Sounded like drivers that didn't owe anything to anybody wrenching those pieces. Hope I am wrong.

Just not sure how Allison's comments fit that move---unless he is a liar or playing word games, etc. Doubtful. If anything, I am worried about Coach going back to Chevy. The landscape is different since he left. You can win Championships without being the lead dog. Wouldn't have a problem with Coach taking Toyota engine program in house with TRD support--this was the original plan--Think Ford is to Roush as Gibbs is to Toyota.
 
I don't see Gibbs moving to Ford without there being some serious heat about it. You don't do things in Nascar without the media knowing about it months in advance.

Really looking forward to the announcement, wouldn't surprise me there will be a manufacturer change. Don't know who that'll be though :D

I hope not. Toyota might go the way of Dodge if JGR jumps ship. I don't know if MWR is enough to carry the banner. Imagine if this happens, then Roush goes under and Penske switches manufacturers again and goes to Chevy.

Then we have IROC.

Suppose that Edwards may be going to JGR with Ford's blessing because JGR is switching to Ford and in partnership with RFR?

It is also possible that Sadler is going to be cut lose for Wallace to take over that ride?

Wouldn't surprise me, as Gibbs has manufacturer hopped in the past. I hope it's not true though. I was a NASCAR fan before Toyota came in to the sport and I'll still be a fan if they have to leave, but I don't want to see just two manufacturers in the sport.
