Ah hell! Quick, someone alert Paul Menard! He has the best Daytona average in the last 5 races. Let that man know he's on his way to becoming the next Richard Petty!
Its a tie.. 13.6 is the best average finish so while ur right.. thats not what I was gettin atAh hell! Quick, someone alert Paul Menard! He has the best Daytona average in the last 5 races. Let that man know he's on his way to becoming the next Richard Petty!
Also just wana throw this in there.. guess which driver has the best average finish at Daytona in the past 3 years
Yeah I wasnt too sure about that one no big deal.. he could still become the youngest champion.
Im aware. You never know.. Im definitely aware that its extremely unlikely and I really don't expect it to happen but Brads run last year and Tonys the year before show you really never know who might show up at the right time. Although I'd be happy with 2 wins and a chase berth this year. Which I really don't think is very far fetched at all.Well he better do it this year, because Gordon was 24 when he won his first in 95.
Seems like a low target for the future all-time NASCAR great.Although I'd be happy with 2 wins and a chase berth this year. Which I really don't think is very far fetched at all.
How do you figure? That would double his career wins and be his first chase. In a career that will most likely last at least another 20 years. I never said he going to win the championship in the next couple years. Just that I think he will at some point.. even if its 5-10 years from now. I do think he will start winning races pretty soon. He's been performing on a higher level all around this year than he has before and I see no reason to think he won't continue to improve.Seems like a low target for the future all-time NASCAR great.
Except, you were predicting he would start winning races when he was running terribly. Now, he's running well and you're still predicting he'll win races. If we are going to look at this scientifically, I see no correlation between his actual on-track performance and your predictions. How do you figure? Why would my prediction change when it hasn't come true yet? lol You gotta start running better before you start winning races. Also how could you possibly not see the correlation between his performance and my predictions. He's been in contention to win a few times this year already. Bristol, Auto Club, Kentucky... among others that he had damn fast cars for. The cards fall slightly more in his favor and he's already got 3 wins this year. Sometimes you just need a little luck on ur side. It didn't happen like that and he has no wins yet but like I said you gotta run better before you start winning. Running better ..check!Except, you were predicting he would start winning races when he was running terribly. Now, he's running well and you're still predicting he'll win races. I think you guys drastically over react to a lot of the things I say. And end up putting words in my mouth. I dont remember ever saying he would be "The future all-time NASCAR great." I think he will win at least one championship at some point in his career. Okay so I came into this forum with a head of steam and got into some heated discussions where I exaggertaed a lot of things in reaction to the hate. You guys say Joey sucks after I say go Joey!... I'm gona come back with a thread like "Why I think Joey Logano Is The Greatest Cup Driver Ever!" Which just reminded me that I did say that lol but you have to get what Im saying. A lot of my exaggerations are just to piss people off. It's fun and sometimes I just like to argue. The main point I've tried to get across and some people have gotten it, is that he's a better driver than most give him credit for. Joey came into this sport with such hype there was no way he could not have seemed extremely overrated. However I think just the opposite. He definitely underperformed, but he has the talent it takes to compete at the highest level but because of all the hype around his entry to the Cup level and all that.. he gets the shaft from 90% of you guys while some of you see that its just taking longer than expected for him to develop. It will happen. Ive been routing for him for years and sometimes to the point where I had no confidence in him really. Always ready for another disappointing finish. At one point I tried to change drivers. After watching Kyle sweep all 3 series at Bristol I was damn impressed! I started watching Kyle for a bit. I realized when he was leading and Joey was running 15th and I still was watching Logano that it wasn't going to happen. I'm a Joey fan and that's that, I stuck the hard times out, and have seen steady improvement in all aspects of how he races. Coming into this year I talked a lot of crap, but in the back of my mind I was still worried that he wouldn't perform. The last 17 races have shown me that he's still well on his way to the top. I've said time and time again that I know he's not there yet. Given they're performance this year I see no reason for me not be as confident as ever that he will go on to be a top notch driver. Remember he's only 23. Yeah yeah I know Kyle did this by then, Jeff Gordon this and Jimmie Johnson that bla bla bla. Those thing don't mean that he isn't going to get there. The switch to Penske was just what the doctor ordered, for whatever reason. He's on track to have his best season yet. Which doesn't say much I know because i he finishes 15th it'll be his best season but he's clearly showing improvement and whats to say he doesnt have his best season yet for the next 5 years in a row? Now I'm in a pretty good mood because I worked my ass off yesterday and ended up unexpectedly being off today lol.. so don't expect me to continue to be like this. I just want you guys to see that I'm not just some obsessed weirdo. I see what you see too lol.. this is more like what I'm really like when I'm not in troll mode. Like I said sometimes I just like to argue or piss people off for no reason. Not sure why it's just fun to me. And you guys just make it so easy with the way you jump all over my Logano posts. Like I said somewhere earlier lol. I know the reaction I'm going to get from you guys when I post those things. I don't see how you guys could think Im not just trolling or fishing with it. Unless some of you actually genuinely believe Im just some crazy **** but that's not the case. Im just a NASCAR fan that believes in his driver and finds it fun to get people goin every now n then.
GO JOEY!!!
2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion!
Well thres a difference between one of the greats andDid you not say he would have a career better than Kenseth? News flash, when Kenseth is done he will be considered as one of the greats.
I was thinking you were implying I think he'll be the best there ever was. I didnt say that.I think Joey will be one of the greats. As far as the greats go Kenseth may be on that list but he's not anywhere near the top of it. I may end up being wrong who knows, only time will tell. At this point however I do believe he will surpass Matt Kenseths accomplishments in the sport at some point. At least Im not out here saying he's the next Jimmie Johnson and he's gona get 75 wins and 10 championships.... the future all-time NASCAR great.
Did you not say he would have a career better than Kenseth? News flash, when Kenseth is done he will be considered as one of the greats.
Kenseth is not that great guys
Yes sir! Oh wait.. ummm.. no! Ur done with the subject? Good for you... Ill talk about what I want when I want... try n stop me lolOK slicedbread I have heard enough. I agree Logano is having a great year, anyone who follows cup racing knows this.
His improvement at Penske has shown his potential and I won't argue with you over the numbers especially latley and I can only hope he does great things at this level.
I respect your being a fan of his but all the bragging on him along with the childish" I'm gonna be able to say I told ya so" is getting real old. All of us here can see what he has done this year and I really don't care about what he didn't do at Gibbs.
So please keep pulling for your favorite, I think it's great, but stop drooling over him before he achieves greatness and shoving it down our throats.
I'm done on this subject so put the fishin gear away.
Hey man I came in with one post... and then the haters came to play, Im done with it really for now this threads worn out but its not because Im being told to stop... and the more people come here and have something to say the more ill have to say. Thats really how it always has been.Because 5 pages about Joey Logano just isn't enough.
My bad. I just put the link up. Thanks for the heads up.http://racing-forums.com/help/terms

Im actually surprised he hasn't yet. Just hasn't been in the cards. Need a little luck too.. it's refreshing to get comments like this instead of coming in here ready to be defensive lol.I think leaving Gibbs humbled Joey in a way, he came up with all this fan fare, didn't do that great and now the pressure isn't on as much..He is very talented and still really young. He'll win a race this year for sure.
He probably would have won at California if he hadn't gotten into it with his BFF Denny Hamlin.Im actually surprised he hasn't yet. Just hasn't been in the cards. Need a little luck too.. it's refreshing to get comments like this instead of coming in here ready to be defensive lol.
Ive been VERY surprised with his performance on the 1.5's this season. 3 top 5's out of the 5 or 6 of em theyve run. Usually he didnt do well on those with Gibbs, which I think was very detrimental and the cause of a lot of his issues with performance. Two years ago, I couldn't have named a track I was extremely confident he could win at. Now I know he can get a win at Daytona, Talladega, Pocono, Michigan, Bristol, Auto Club, Dover, Charlotte, and Kentucky, among others. Also with the performance on the 1.5's this year I could see him as a threat to sneak in a victory at any of them. I'm a bit weary about Atlanta, thats statistically his worst track. If he can go there and perform the way he has been at the other 1.5's this year that will be a big step forward. He has improved his best finish at a lot of tracks this year. I'm looking forward to next year when they come back to all the tracks for a 2nd and 3rd time.Well Joey is from my home state, he's not my favorite or anything but I would like to see him do well.. I think some that don't like him are people annoyed by the whole sliced bread thing and being heralded as the next big thing.. I bet Larson will get the same negativity soon if he doesn't live up to the hype.
Joey is really good at mile and halfs, seems comfortable at Penske. Only a matter of time.
Looks like a link to me.Interesting Q+A with Joey and his CC.. its this attitude that has been and will continue propel this team forward. Sometimes I'm even surprised by the things he says. Wise beyond his years he is.

You know guys, Joey Logano is a decent driver and you should stop targetting SB for being a fan. I'm a Almirola fan and he's a worse driver than Logano. Hell I know some people on here like Front Row Joe. Y'all should stop jumping on the AML ship to troll land.
I see why you have such a long nose. Your always sticking it where it doesn't belong, and then the tip is always brown. The OP fixed it without your help or comments. "My bad. I just put the link up. Thanks for the heads up."Looks like a link to me.

I repeat, we don't need a thread bully and just like you and everyone else on here I can respond to any post I care to. If you don't like it don't read my posts or better yet block me.I see why you have such a long nose. Your always sticking it where it doesn't belong, and then the tip is always brown. Is that you walter?you repeat? If you saw the original post that the OP posted it might be different, but your long nose got into something that wasn't your business and was already fixed. so wank on dude I'm done

I think Joey was promoted way too fast and young, he came into Gibbs as a brand new cup driver with two other young but experienced drivers so he was low on the totem pole. At Penske he is older, and he has been around the block.I tend to disagree. I think with Kenseth doing so well in the 20, thats putting more pressure on Logano to do well. I think he wants to prove that his less than stellar performance at JGR wasn't because of him alone.
Nah, you have got it wrong -- somehow when people talk about how well one of their favorites is doing it isnt trolling but when SB talks about how awesome Joey is...Targeting him for being a fan? Lol Look at this thread. This thread was a troll thread to begin with. It's almost unbelievable he started it. "Yay, looks who's ran well in 6 races, TOP FIVE DRIVER BABY!" I don't "target" him for being a Logano fan, I have no problem with Logano or any NASCAR driver. I think he's "targeted" because of how he came on with it at first like Logano was some kind god behind the steering wheel. Plus, I think how he would portray his opinion as fact and then get bent out of shape when the real facts were presented rubbed a few the wrong way.
