I’m tempted to as well. It seems like a lot of other July 4th stuff is getting cancelled or postponed anyways. I’m not used to having reserved seats for a race on the road course but most of the seats in that area are pretty good regardless.
Unfortunately, another team pulled out of the race. The Heart of Daytona AMR team will not be there, I think it will be a total of 27 entries...
Yeah, I’m thinking we’ll still get somewhere in the range of 10-12 GTD entries which would put the field between 26-28. Might look small for Daytona but there shouldn’t be any lack of competition. Also, when you lose 4-5 cars for a period of time but still have roughly a dozen showing up I think GTD is in pretty good shape.
8 Protos, 6 GTLM, 12 GTD = 26. Beats that field ARCA trotted out at Talladega.

Yep, I would say a little over an hour to 1:15 or so depending on traffic and weather. It’s definitely a more pleasant drive than a full ride across I-4 was.

I'm not sure what difference is between Caddy and Vette. I'd think they are both LS derivatives. Porsche I think is still a flat 4, or are they V6 now?
Porsche 911 is still a flat-6. The former LMP1 had the V4, the Caddy is based off the 6.2 LS/LT engine. The Corvette is now a flat planed DOHC twin-turbo V8.
