Indy 500 Race Day Thread

Where's Greg? They're talking about his man Roberto Guerrero wrecking his car on the parade lap after he tried to warm up his tires in the turn.

Ed Carpenter almost did a Guerrero.

Haha...yeah I remember that - for some reason I was pulling for him that year - and I was like "what the heck ?" It looked like he just planted it in the wall on purpose.

Sato always does something stupid....poor A.J. At least he didn't hit anything.

(chances are he will do something worse before it's all over....too aggressive)

This announcing crew is kinda lame - Goodyear sounds like he's falling asleep...Cheever was talking about cutting Kanaan's thumb off with a pair of pliers (odd choice of tools)...the old radio guys were tons better.

(can't believe I'm saying this - but we need some "Boogity")

hahaha more sports on more devices hahaha except at Bobby's house.:lol2:
Yeah, it's a pisser. We got one month free once because the DVR box kept going out. Box has to be re-booted about three times a week. It's absolutely the worst cable service that I've ever had. I wanna get AT&T Uverse but it's not available in our area yet.

Belts came undone? That's gotta be a little unnerving. Tough break.

Well lotsa time - but A.J. needs a break now.

80 to go - track position is getting important.

So far this Munoz kid is pretty impressive. He is showing a lot of patience for a rookie.

Look at the brake dust from the #98 Tagliani car! Usually, if you're on the brakes that much, that means your car isn't handling great, but Tag has been in the Top 15 all day.

I gave up TW after a month. They really suck.U-Verse isn't bad my only problem with them is You can only have 4 things going at 1 time.

His Honda hates him. Haha

If this race keeps going at this pace then Roger and Brad should make it back to Commerce with no problem.

I still think it's funny that when they interviewed Brad on the pit box he said they'll "hopefully" make it back in time for the 600.

Wow - I'm having trouble keeping track of things - how did Allmendinger get back to 5th?

Nevermind - now they explained it.

LOL @ Cheever "the reson he has to get back to the front is that if there's a yellow...voice trails off...(nevermind Eddie)"

I liked it when they asked him if he wanted to do the double and he said yes. I would love to see some of the cup drivers do the double.

Has anyone ever won in there First Indy 500? Someone could have said or asked this but too lazy to go thought 3 pages(yes, I am that lazy)

Yes, happened several times. Most notably, F1 champ Graham Hill in 1966. More recently, CART champion/F1 driver/current NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya in 2000 and Helio Castroneves in 2001.

Danica almost did until she had to turn the fuel knob back and settle for a 4th place finish. Also Jr Hildebrand had it won until he crashed on the last turn of the last lap.
