(2019 was a hot weather day too, I was there)
I recall only two Daytona Roval races. Wasn't the first in the middle of the COVID shutdowns, and the second the week immediately after the D500? If I could attend only one race over two weekends, I'd have gone with the Roval, but I believe most fans would spend their money on the marquee event. Finally the Daytona Roval.
You are correct. It will probably be the only time I could book a room directly across from the speedway for $79 per night. Best Daytona experience ever.I recall only two Daytona Roval races. Depends what they cut to give them a race.Got a feeling this won’t go over well.
If it is the rumored street course, and it’s a sanctioned event for points, yuck.
this whole deal is about what is going to make the coolest photo op. Pick one, Put it on the Intsta and get those likes.Hoping they drive under the Bean. That would be a cool photo op.
I wanna see the Brickyard 400 get its shot with the new car. We might get a preview of what it would look like with the race at Pocono this weekend.Okay, with another RC added and replacing another...
I guess it time for Indy to go back to the oval? Or alternate to keep the IndyCar double-header weekend? I enjoyed the Indy RC, but I'm curious to see these cars get on with the oval.
I think we have an answer. I've said my peace on this race a few pages back and dont want to diminish the joy that others are having about a street race.....but the whole "we are taking a track date away because attendance is terrible" card that most like to play when discussing these types of things is now null and void. Road America did nothing but pack those fans in there the last two years.

fair enough. I just prefer NASCAR to race on ovals, we have 1-2 many road courses as it is. I would like to see what the new car could do at Chicagoland or even on the Indianapolis oval. I think folks would like the racing.I'm not enthusiastic about the Chicago Street course but I would prefer this one over a return to Chicagoland.
However, dropping Road America is just unacceptable to me. If NASCAR feels the need to take away a date from a road course it should be Indy IMO.
I agree that racing at intermediates has been very good so far. But instead of adding another 1.5er I'd rather try to improve the racing at short tracks and road courses.fair enough. I'm fine with Richmond losing a race only if it is lost to a new short track.Especially since Kansas and Richmond still keep their underperforming 2nd dates
We're losing Road America for the Chicago street course.
And we still go to Richmond 2x a year.... ya know, the track where the racing has been some of the worst on the calendar for 10+ years, where they can't keep up with tearing out seats, and the track is owned by NASCAR so any schedule changes should be easy unlike working with SMI.
The doom and gloom for Richmond around here......can we give it a little time to see how the new car works at some of these places before we do more schedule changes? They haven’t torn out any seats at Richmond in quite a few years, they’ve renovated the infield, the fall race had a great crowd, and the racing in the spring wasn’t too bad…….
Aight manNothing like trotting out the driver 23rd in points to show how important this is. I mean he is ahead of 6 or 7 other full time drivers
Aight man
23XI is owned by MJ, he is an employee of MJ's. Guess whos name is synonymous with Chicago? Michael Jeffery Jordan.
Also, McDonald's sponsors the team and lord behold Hamburger University is in downtown Chicago. The company has a big presence.
