The Midnight Rider
No telling how good a race will be at a place until you see it, so I’ll hold out hope and see how it is.
Got a video for me pal? They had Clint, Jamie and Reddick racing the track on sims, and it was wider than I thought it would be. It looked a lot wider than Bowman Grey
This. Times 100. My favorite post of the dayIt's not coming out of our pockets.
This makes me sad ha ha I touched on this the other day. No response….we think alike. I definitely think this Coliseum race is a test trial to see if it’s feasible to do what you mentioned in your postIf the LA Coliseum Clash is a success, this opens up more stadium short tracks as a viable option.
This could be how NASCAR finally enters the New York market or enters the PNW with a race around Lumen Field in Seattle

Nope, but they said the sim guys have been racing it with different banking. Might be something there.Got a video for me pal?

Remember, the Clash doesn't run a full field. Maybe 24 cars or so, not 37 to 40. It's a lot easier to fit a half-field in a stadium. If the LA Coliseum Clash is a success, this opens up more stadium short tracks as a viable option.

One can only hopeThey've been removed from the schedule entirely?
The photo does have both cars in it. Maybe a doubleheader but one series runs clockwise the other counterclockwise at the same time. Now THAT would be a big announcement and maybe make the Texas race almost exciting again. They have done that before with the trucks and Indy at Texas. Good point. I think they are going to have more races like that since Penske is at the wheel. He needs to get his viewership up for the Indycars.

They ran 21 cars this year, I read 20 somewhere.Remember, the Clash doesn't run a full field. Maybe 24 cars or so, not 37 to 40. It's a lot easier to fit a half-field in a stadium.
A summer’s race at Met Life Stadium. Might happen eventuallyPlus, they've wanted to be in New York for years now, this could finally open that possibility
And before someone says "what's that?" It was a fictional track in the EA Sports NASCAR video games in the mid 2000s.
It's a fictional NASCAR track from NASCAR 05 onwards.I don't know what that means.
They already race dirt late models and open wheels in the dome where the Rams used to play in St. Louis.I will say this, I think seeing what Motocross does at baseball/football stadiums, there's no reason this cannot be done. With that being said, I think the league that stands to gain the most here is the World of Outlaws. I can see sprint car racing absolutely taking off in these major stadiums. NASCAR on a bullring won't be horrible, but so much of the sport is the raw speed itself. It's why Bristol and even Martinsville stand out, the configuration of those tracks allow for pretty damn high speeds
I had actually seen a rumor a few months back that the Outlaws were interested in the idea of stadium racesI will say this, I think seeing what Motocross does at baseball/football stadiums, there's no reason this cannot be done. and because it’s the Clash, smaller teams usually wont have to make the expensive trek from North Carolina to California, back to North Carolina and then south to Florida all in the span of like 2 weeks.Remember, the Clash doesn't run a full field. What exactly would satisfy you? Not trying to be snarky, but I think there are several substantive changes in his schedule. And with most of the venues being owned by Nascar and SMI, I just don't see the possibility of clean-sheet schedule designs every year. For all of the build up and delaying the release, it's pretty underwhelming.
It didn’t move the needle. The oval moves the needle.Interesting that IMS wants them back on the oval.
How many cars on the track at a time? Do they make pit stops for tires or fuel? They already race dirt late models and open wheels in the dome where the Rams used to play in St. Louis.
I honestly expected more new venues. I don't really count the clash since it's an exhibition. What exactly would satisfy you?
