Must’ve been because they raced with it, amirite, folks?
Appeals transcripts would definitely help, but we know those aren't forthcoming.Damn this is such a bad look
Yeah, TRL, but we don't have to know. This spins and the sport looks like ****. NASCAR needs to improve its processes--and appeals--to eliminate the spin. This is a joke. Sadly, this doesn't just suck for those getting their asses kicked by The Chain Gang, but for the inmates as well....tainted--not celebrated--success. Shameful. On the surface, this seems so wrong. But, not one of us knows what evidence was presented in Kaulig's defense. Unless
the appeals panel speaks, which probably won't happen, we do not know their process in determining the verdict.
I don't like, but I cannot do anything about it. So, I'm not going to waste my time fuming about something over which I have no control. I just can't get my guts in an uproar over this that doesn't affect my life.
Shouldn’t matter since just last week everyone was running around saying points were given back since they didn’t race the louvres.Different appeals panel. Kaulig appeals panel: Former TV executive Hunter Nickell, former driver Shawna Robinson, Magic Valley (Meridian, Idaho) Speedway promoter Steve York. Wonder if Nascar uses an AI to select appeals panel like courts do?
"National Motorsports Appeals Panel".....and all they do is hear NASCAR penalties.....They sound much more official than they are. There is nothing honorable or infallible about this group.....oh, and who the hell is the "Appeals Manager"? Jeffy ****** Gordon? What a ****** joke.Shouldn’t matter since just last week everyone was running around saying points were given back since they didn’t race the louvres.
Anyways I think the appeal panel pool is about 20 or 25 deep. Not sure how they’re selected.
Maybe they have to sign an NDA at hearing. Why can't you talk about it Chris? I've been listening to Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb**** for two weeks now....oh, yeah..The Chain Gang.
It's my understanding that NASCAR can NOT appeal the decision of the panel.Would Nascar be able to also take Hendrick to this “Final” appeals thing to try to get the penalty restored?
No, they can't re-penalize Hendrick no matter how much the gallery at R-F think they should.Would Nascar be able to also take Hendrick to this “Final” appeals thing to try to get the penalty restored?
As a Byron fan I definitely wasn’t saying they should. Just an interesting thought as to whether it was possible. No, they can't re-penalize Hendrick no matter how much the gallery at R-F think they should.
It was supposed to be a joke...It was that bad? lolAs a Byron fan I definitely wasn’t saying they should. Just an interesting thought as to whether it was possible.
I definitely wanted him to keep those playoff points since he had so many more than everyone else already.
Makes sense that Jeffy and Chadly can run their mouths for two weeks, and Kaulig would have to sign a NDA. Carl Long....Line 1.Maybe they have to sign an NDA at hearing.
NASCAR's sandbox. Lose the stupid Appeals Panel...and the Chief Administrator of the Appeals Panel. Good-bye,It's my understanding that NASCAR can NOT appeal the decision of the panel.
You piss off the Appeals Panel, and they would probably give extra points to The Chain Gang.Would Nascar be able to also take Hendrick to this “Final” appeals thing to try to get the penalty restored?
This was something the sanctioning body established themselves, they came only blame themselves when not happy with the resultsNASCAR's sandbox. Lose the stupid Appeals Panel...and the Chief Administrator of the Appeals Panel. Good-bye,
Did anybody at HMS discuss details about what was actually said inside the appeals hearing? No they didn't,Makes sense that Jeffy and Chadly can run their mouths for two weeks, and Kaulig would have to sign a NDA. Carl Long....Line 1.
The fact that the appeals panel is not just rubber stamping NASCAR's calls is proof that the process actually WORKS. Why is it a team's fault if the appeal members don't always see things the same way NASCAR does? Since when is NASCAR some infallible deity? Just because they make a claim doesn't make it true or right. Thank God there is a process, even if it's not perfect. As for the Kaulig case, I think it is foolish to go judge NASCAR, the team or the Appeals Board decision without knowing the facts and exactly what evidence was presented. I agree that the process should be 100% more transparent, but I seriously doubt it ever will be.This was something the sanctioning body established themselves, they came only blame themselves when not happy with the results

The hms penalties would have defined the seasonOn the surface, this seems so wrong. But, not one of us knows what evidence was presented in Kaulig's defense. Unless
the appeals panel speaks, which probably won't happen, we do not know their process in determining the verdict.

This. There could be a legit reason. We'll never know but I guess if HMS had correspondence with nascar about modifying them they have somewhat of a case. If kaulig had nothing and just modified them I guess it's a different story. Either way bad look.

Generally someone that constantly refers to people as Jeffy doesn't have much credibility

Then, they can dump it.This was something the sanctioning body established themselves, they came only blame themselves when not happy with the results

They grandstanded....because Hendrick. The Appeals Panel should be insulted that it was discussed at all prior top and after. Jeffy and Chadly's ability to throw **** out there without any rebuttal (God knows why) damages the process. A process that should be blown up.Did anybody at HMS discuss details about what was actually said inside the appeals hearing? No they didn't,
Generally someone that refers to a certain owner as Preacher should be subjected to the same assessment....but I have't seen that from you. Talk about lacking credibility....and that's Jeffy, Chadly, Ex Convict, and The Chain Gang. I am a stickler for proper grammar and punctuation---I like to think that it enhances my credibility....on a message board.....where credibility matters so much as we hide behind screen names.Generally someone that constantly refers to people as Jeffy, Chadly, the convict and the chain gang doesn't have much credibility
